Indoor Back... finally! True auto grow!

The 'good light' that I use (Mars Hydro TS 600) will be busy flowering when the next seedling pops so I'm looking at using CFLs or a bulb like yours for the first three or four weeks. In the past, I've vegged under regular fluorescent bulbs with no issues so there's no reason that I can't again. Anything to keep it low cost and effective is what I aim for.

Same here! Almost all my equipment besides lights so far are reclaimed or repurposed materials. Just had a major brainstorm with thunder and lightning... ive always had problems with planting in final pot and keeping the medium moist soooo... i came up with an idea for my next go next weekend. Ive seen this done with solo cups but figured it would work on a smaller scale. I took 3oz plastic shot glasses (2 per pot) and cut the bottom out of one and cut in half. Then cut some drainage into the bottom of the other one like so. Then i will fill with media and start in the cups. A “ no transplant” transplant! And it keeps seedling and media isolated from the rest of the media so the seedling media won’t dry out! Good idea? Then when they are established i slide the cups out, slide the two halves back in hole and carefully slide them out. Voila! 246829C9-50A3-42C4-BFB3-DF2A3408B889.jpegA3BAAD8D-77A7-41D3-A831-1DD90DD7B475.jpeg

That's a very good idea indeed! I think I saw someone doing something similar but rather than cut one cup in half they cut big slots out of the side of the inside cup and transplanted the whole cup into a larger container when roots started coming out of the sides.

I saw that too but didn’t want the sharp edges left in there, possibly cutting new roots... when i start the next three autos you think i should start a new thread? Or perpetuate this one?
I think roots would be apt to take the path of least resistance. And yeah, I'd definitely start a new thread.

So day 47, flower 23. She doesn’t seem to be doing much but will finish this one out! Never grew an auto complete before and i know shes small but the experience i am gaining is well worth it. I figure some of you would’ve chopped her to make room for something less stunted but it is what it is... she’ll produce Something.

Day 49 from popping soil, flower 25 days. Pic to show relative size...(small, i know right?) but popping trichomes and looking healthy for the most part. Tried giving her a water only drink to see if she’ll improve any, back to megacrop next feed...
