New Grower Baked in a bucket??

Heya afn peeps, we are at it again this morning. Ive done gone and did a thing....
I have decided to get my feet wet(hehe) and try out a lil hydro grow.
This will be that first boring deets post, then itll be off to the races(i hope).

Lights or outdoor:
Lights- a combo of 150w qbs and 65w autocob
Room/Tent size:
4x2x6' tent
Ferts or no ferts:
Ferts- mc, sc, be from greenleaf, recharge, hydroguard, and calmag as necessary

Medium-5 gallon bubblebucket, 10" rhyzocore netpot, airpump, stones, etc.

Pest control- im runnin this in a tent with a soil grow so i do have a couple products on hand, insecticidal soap for immediate killin, neem oil for long term protection. Probably wont need the di-earth lol.

Seed- im running one of @Magic mystery strains, until corrected ill be referring to it as Mystery 1. Im following a journal by trailanimal and hes got one of the mystery strains going, its purple. I luv it so much lol, would luv to have a purple plant in muh tent.

Additional setup- i bubbled 4 gallons of tapwater for 48 hours, set ph at 5.9 then added nutes, this is for the 1st rez fill. I will be refilling the rez as needed with bubbled water and i am planning on trying this run with as few rez changes as possible.

Philosophically speaking im wanting to take the "dirty water culture" approach so i wont be running sterile, will be tossing in bennies, and generally will try to let the plant do all the talking.

1st solution is some ratio of megacrop and sweet candy. Ill add recharge to the rez maybe in the next week. Ill probably start adding in calmag and be during preflower, assuming we make it even that far lol.

Last but certainly not least, i think im gonna skip tags for the time being, i wanna see what sorta traffic this gets organically, BUT, i wouldnt have even gotten this far without the help of yall afn peeps. Great info and better people here in afn!
Having said that i do wanna quietly shout out to my unofficial support team lol, they might not know it yet but theyve been drafted!
Boradan, Frenjamin Banklin, MissUniverse, and Wawashell. These 4 have endured a bunch of questions and have gently pointed me in the right direction in regards to all things hydro.

Day 7- heya afn, welcome to my newest adventure, hydroponics. Ive decided to give it a go, and we are underway!
Today is day 7, not a lot to report. Roots havent dug out of the plug yet so visible growth is small.
Temps and rh are good, light is about 40 inches away so as not to blast the lil seedling, schedule is 20/4 but i think im going to step that back to 18/6, more out of electric bill concerns than plant performance issues lol. The difference between 18/6 and 20/4 here have been scary!
Anywho, heres my obligatory pic of tiny seedling surrounded by hydroton pebbles!

Im not a hydro grower. But i was binge listening to the dude grows recently and they were fairly vehement that it should not be used in rez. Or left in solution form for more than a few hours. Even added to teas they say add at the end.

I dont know anything about anything but ive not had any issue with recharge, ive used it up to a week sitting in a jug, use it religiously in my autopot.
Ive been watching some of the growers here in afn use recharge and other bennies just fine in their setups.
I do have the hydroguard as well but im gonna rock the recharge till i see something myself that says otherwise!
Good lookin out tho yo, growing in general is still so very new to me, and this might as well be alchemy lol.
Worst case scenario is my bubblebucket explodes when the recharge sits in the rez too long! We live and learn, live and learn!

My kinda grower!! My perpetual has a document of me doing what one could call a dual root zone... 2 liter bottle. Soil top and rez in the bottom. Mc/be/calmag. The rez was clear and had algae. Legit had algae on roots[emoji23]. But the bud was great and plants yielded ridiculously well. Im surprised by how much my do it wrong comes out right. [emoji23][emoji106]

Funny you mention your experiment, i thought about a hempy style grow, which is traditionally perlite base layer topped by perlite/vermiculite, sort of a passive hydro.
Theres a big thread here in afn where someone is doing the sorta setup youve described, soil/hempy grow, churning out some beasts!
I am giving the hempy style a lot of thought, not having to worry about having a pump plugged in is nice.
Thats neither here nor there tho, ive got all the time in the world to jack this up so bad i give up growing entirely lol

Heya and thanks for taggin along @Vapo69 !
Its an unorthodox approach to hydro apparently, but i like the sound of "dirty water culture", no rez-change hydro growing. Imma try and emulate a couple of my grow senseis styles and see what we can do!
Im also having a not great time in soil with my other current plant so im ready to try the soilless thing for a grow

Week 2- still nothing to report tho the lil seedling is still alive and growing, so theres that.
Not a lot of growth yet, but this seems to be more the norm for hydro so im not stressing it.
I anticipate that once the roots hit the water then the action picks up.
Havent had to add anything to the bucket yet, ph is still good, went in at 5.9ph and a week later its 6.0. Ill check periodically but i dont think itll be an issue.
