New Grower Blue Mystic Auto(Nirvana)Under Pro Grow 260x

Let's have another photo w/ the blue light off so we can see how big they are now. It will help determine watering needs ... :bong:

Knowing when to water a small plant in a big pot is always difficult. Even though the soil may look and feel dry near the top, remember that the roots, especially the tap root, is pretty deep into the pot by now where there's probably still plenty of water. The roots will grow downward, reaching for that water, which helps to promote a healthy root system. I wouldn't water them if the pots still feel pretty heavy. Given the size of the plants vs. the size of the pots, you may not need to water more frequently than every 10-12 days.

The pots felt pretty light..I stuck my finger all the way in (on the side of the pots)and it was more on the dry side..I gave them 500ml of water each..lets see how they take that..

Looking real nice, Now's the time to kick up to dual spectra!!! The onset of flowering between days 18 - 28 are right on par. Now is the time to give them all you can (but not over doing it) to let them be the most they can be!

I have found most autos don't like overwatering, I let the soil dry out in between waterings so it is not always "wet" looking. I really like to use the "pick-up weight" to determine when to water. Feel the weight of a dry pot, then water it thoroughly and note the feel of the weight of the wet pot. A simple Soil Moisture Meter from the garden shop helps too.

For a "feeding", water with enough solution that about 15 - 20% of the volume runs from the drain holes. Let the pots set in the standing water for about 5 minutes to be sure the root mass is saturated with no dry pockets, then discard the remaining water.

For watering in between feedings, when a pot begins to feel "light" add in your water 1 l or qt at a time, slowly, until you see water begin to trickle from the drain holes.

I'm interested to see how this grow turns out. I've seen nothing but great reviews and grow journals for the pro-grow lights. Though, the blackstars seem to be more popular here. I'm still torn between the two. I'm pretty sold on the superiority of the pro-grow, but that price tag is making me lean towards the blackstar. I'm subbed in for the ride :toke:

Dual spectrum is in use now..Temps between 27-29c..

BLM ... watch your light height cause you don't want to stack your nodes to close .. you've got room for them to run a little ... 29C should be no problem for the Blue Mystics, especially if they get a cooling off period when it's lights out.

Decibud ... your plant looks great for it's age ... I would worry you're over watering it and over fertilizing it since most of us wait til the second or third week to add nutes. My last ABM grow was virtually scentless, my current grow has a faint scent ... I think the difference is I had a lot of ventilation and the smell was never trapped ... current grow is happening in a box so the scent builds up ... let them breath and the scent should stay down ...

lights on temps vary from 27-29..Lights off 24-26..Plants look really droopy today while the lights are off.Droopier then usual..the top growth is straight up but the rest of the plant looks somewhat "sad"..Is this usually the case in the dark period?

Some strains go to sleep at night and their fan leaves will drop. When they wake up in the morning, they stretch their arms and reach for the light. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCHbnduJa58 (stole the link from J TaNg and the info from KindredSpirit). Good luck

Very true, I remember this (slight leaf droop after dark) with Blue Mystic, especially in hydro. Do check though that the soil isn't too wet as well, I've had issue with smaller plants in larger pots usually until the root growth kicks into high gear.

It is very important to think about cultivating & developing a healthy root system. Bigger roots = Bigger autos!
