New Grower Cannabis Club Smoke-Off - Need Suggestions & Advice

LOL, I know the feeling. I've been sampling my crop, plus have traded with a couple friends, plus making hash and testing it, so a typical harvest time, stoned every day.

Yes, please post the results. I know I'd like to hear what everyone in your club has grown and how it smokes and ranks.

You know I think I will. I love smoke reports. I read everyone I can find. Every day when I fill in my card on the pot of the day I will put a note in here. Do you think I should open a new thread or just keep posting on this one. Don't forget the smoke reports on yours as well. Wicked interested here.

Well today is the big day meeting at 1PM.

I got my 17 joints rolled thanks to my wife but I wrote the name of the pot on them. I got my $50 in cash for the defence fund. I am only entering the Auto section this year cause I got no great photo except for the BeeJay and I am going to give the old girl a rest. This is the second year that we have a seperate auto section. I will be coming home with 17 joints from different breeders to try. Our real test cause we are asked to make the pot we are testing the first pot of the day. Wow am I excited. I will keep you all informed of my testing.

I am really happy I won't be missing a Jets game cause they play on Monday night. Three weeks to test the 17 joints and then awards night.

Thanks for moving it. Sometimes I do things without paying enough attention. We wish you could attend but it is members only and you would have to apply for membership. The air fare might make it a little on the unpractical side. We still wish you were here.

Nelson - I moved this post into it's own thread so you could get your questions better answered.
The thread it was in was concerning a Party Cup contest here on the site.
Just trying to help you out!
Wish I could attend your contest - sounds like fun!

Our Breeders cup 2011 "smoke off" meeting. We passed a few ruel changes after some heated arguments one was the rule about what was a new breed that can be entered in the smoke off for next year. I am not reading the minutes here but from my memory here it is: "A breeder must give the genetics strain including the parentege of the Male and Female used in the breed he is submitting if he is using bought seed and doesen't know the parentage then the seed company or breeder must be listed. No unknown types or bagseed will be allowed in the future. The breeder may submit a further cross breeding F2 or greater or a backcross as long as the parentage of male and female plants used.

Both new members were approved. One of our members is bravely fighting cancer and is very ill. We are alll contributing to send flowers and one of the members agreed to supply him with medicine to help him with the fight. Unfortunetly the sick member could not attend.

We paid our defence fund contribution of $50 a member bringing our total to $2350.00. Not much to fight a court case with but every year it grows.

We all brought home a bag with seventeen joints in it and our sheet with the listings of all the entrants to do our pot judging at home. We have 3 autos one class. 3 sativas, and 11 indicas or indica crosses.

I will be listing my judging opinion of each of the entrants in seperate postings. All members vote on all entrants even their own entrant . I am going now to share the first joint with my wife. We are testing O G Kush X Cinderella 99 which is a "photo" in the indica class. I do believe it is an indica sativa cross.

Looking forward to hearing what you think of the various strains. I love variety and having 17 different strains to smoke over 17 days sure sounds like fun. LOL, hope you're taking notes as you are going to be so stoned over the next 2 1/2 weeks.

I just did the first one and I am about to make my report complete with my opinionated views on pot growing creeping in. This is going to be fun Muddy - it is every year. I would so love to have samples from twenty years ago to compare and smoke them on days in between all this new stuff. I wonder how Bugglegum, Skunk, Jack Herer, AK 47, Friezeland, Durban Poison and Sensi Star would all fair against this new stuff? Man is it hard to type on this stuff. If the computer could just measure my typo rate it would be a good judge of how stoned I am. My wife just kicked me out of the kitchen for being in the way.

Well here it is the first entrant or at least the firs one on the judging list. The pot is O G Kush X Cinderella 99 in the indica class which also includes Indica/Sativa hybrids. It is a "photo" type. The breeder lists it's parentage as follows: Female is an O G Kush from a clone bought in Passadena, Cs bred to a different clone and bred to a Lake Tahoe grown from seed Male is a cinderella 99 out of seed bred by Grim Brothers.

The smell is nothing special but I think I have a better nose for sativas. The pot judging from the smell of the joint must be quite low odour. The taste is smooth on the first inhale but with a bit of bite as you finish the draw. Very much the way primo Skunk used to hit you on the inhale. Usually my judge of how much swat it has is to take a hit pass it to my wife and by the time it came back I will ask myself how is it hitting me now. There are a few sneaky ones that come on later but they are usually the sativas. The mind fugue sativa effect sure makes your mind wander. With the indicas there is the physical wallop that makes your hands turn into a pair of lobster claws and sends you onto the couch if you weren't there to start with. The only pot I ever rated as a ten on my scale made me wicked afraid to drive my car. I had to stop at a donut shop and after going back for more coffee and another donut about five times I felt OK to drive home. It was a joint of almost pure Afghani mixed with some good Afghani hash made from the same pot. Lethal. Oh yea now I re;member, this pot the Choco Jacko is a total winner. I am givi9ng it a 9 on my scale. I am totally fried and having a real hard time keeping on topic. My typing has turned into half typos. All the letters look alike. My fingers barely work.

I am so gonna order some seeds from this shit right away from the member who put it up. The club has a spring seed swap meeting. There better not be stronger shit than this in this pile of joints or I will have to order an OD kit. I am writing 9 on my score card. Somebody send me some ruerallis and I will try and auto it and back breed it a few times or I will just have to cross it ot AA. and see how they auto.

LOL on the wife, I get that sometimes too. I'm betting those old school strains would still stack up pretty well. Different doesn't always make better. I grew the Afghani #1 again this year as it's still a favorite.

Raining here today so I can't work. Taking my first sample of my Amnesia. Mostly indica, very mellow and not much couch lock. A keeper for sure.

Where did you get the beans for the Amnesia? It sounds like fun.

It threatened rain here all day but never did. I was going to put the finishing touches to my Summer car garage but I was too stoned to do anything but hang around and watch old movies on the tube and make typos on the computer. My turn to make supper. It will be porcupine meatballs and mashed potatoes maybe some veg.

Damn having to smoke those strong Indicas in the morning.
