Lighting Changing modules

Nice thread and nice pics & description tang, looks easy to change

its super easy mate, those pics and description is 100% spot on, the hardest part is trying to line up the optics and the face plate that covers them, there fiddly little feckers

also i think a mod or someone with the power to do so should take those pics that tang posted and make a little sticky thread so that it is always there for everyone to see

Sweet mate good to know  and thread has been made a sticky,it will come in handy for members fitting upgrades as well as replacement modules if needed :smokebuds:

Nice work TaNg :thread::thread: ill hit you with some love when it lets me mate

I wonder if the upgrades will come with the thermal grease? surely they must need blobbing up again for contact, as half the grease will be missing on the new LED board?

Hi is it possible to show how to replace the fans.
Anybody an idea how much air these fans produce?
Because I would love to replace them with more silent fans!

i havn't changed the fans either but at the start of my current grow i noticed they were a little grubby looking with dust and shit stuck to the outside of the blades of the fans so i thought this should be easy just unscrew the four screws at each corner of the fan covers and i should be able to get to them........WRONG. a word of warning i dont know whats behind where the screws are but i think you need to actually get inside the light because when i slackened one of the screws it wouldn't tighten again so i just left it at that so that i didnt fuck anything up or couldn't get the covers back on, just a little pointer to anyone thinking of doing what i done :peace:

:D:

Does your light rattle now Larky? From memory that grill you tried to undo is a bolt and nut, (also fixes the fan) the nut being on the inside of the light, hopefully the nut hasn't fell off inside the light and is just turning on the bolt
