Extraction Cheap alternative to bubble bags?

Hello all,

Is there any way of making ice water hash without having bubble bags?? ive heard somewwherre about using a pair of tights and some muslin, or something like that.

anyone know of anything like this?? and by the way im not interested in getting super-duper-full-melt-uber-high quality dabbing hash, just something that can be smoked in a spliff or bong.

interesting. its like quiso but you have to wait for water to eveapourate instead. seems like alot of waiting. i dont have enough trim to justify waiting that long and if i did have enough trim them id have enough to justify getting proper bubbble bags!! bit of a conundrum! i think ill just get some iso...

Not sure how cheap you mean but there are cheaper alternatives to the name brand bubble bags for around 20 bucks for a 5 bag set. Something like THIS.

yeah ive had a look on amazon.CO.UK and there not that cheap, but still cheaper than the branded ones. i cant get over how cheap things are in the US, id be stung on the postage tho every time. not to mention customs...
like i said, until i get enough trim to justify forking out for proper bags, i think ill just quiso it.

I made some quiso once. It was a bit of an ordeal from start to finish with dissapointing results.

Getting the right grade of ISO was a bit of a pain in the UK. Even with a thoroughly legitimate reason for needing it, the chemist still gave me a real inspection and sold me a half used bottle. Fair enough, I was in Camden at the time and they fear that people will drink it (lol)

Once i had the right grade, I followed the instructions, ground weed in the bottle, just covered with iso, shookk for 20 seconds or so, poured through coffee filters and set a fan on the left over to evaporate the alcohol.
It stank the flat out (I should have been outside really, but not a great Idea in the middle of a city).

When the alcohol eventually evaporated, the hash that i was left with wasnt worth the effort. This may have been down to the quality of the material i used, or maybe i shook the bottle for too long and took in too much green (ummm whatsitcalled... chlorophyl .. tahts it).

If i every hanker for some hash again, I'll get myself a shaker box and some dry ice. Looks to be quicker, easier and potentially safer!

I'm not saying quiso is rubbish as i've seen some people make some lovely looking hash, just my experience of it hasnt been good.

This is how I do it. I freeze my green trim (was using dry but tried green and I like it better) in a bucket or pot put ice and water. I use a big flat wooden spoon and mix my water to make sure its real cold. Then I take my leaves and popcorn buds that are frozen and put it in bucket. I mix pretty good with that flat spoon probly 15 or 20 mins. (I mix for a coupke mins after it gets all foamy.) Ive used blenders and drill with mixing paddles but I like hand mixing more. Its purer end product. After im done mixing I strain it through something with small holes, metal coffee filter works great. I then let it sit (usually overnight but I have done it a few hours.) When you come back to it you will notice sediment in the bottom of whater container you have it in. Thats ur hash. I siphon the water off very very slowely with a quarter in hose as cpose as I can get to the sediment. Then I filter what is pretty much mushy hash threw paper coffe filters. When they get clogged I carefully just kinda ring it out and repeat. This takes forever lol. When ya done you got ur stuff to make hash however ya want. I either pinch what I wanna smoke real hard with my fingers for abit off n on or put alittle I cig pack celephane or however you spell it and roll it with a rolling pin. I use green trim with this process cause it seems more pure, even bubbles! Yeild went way down though. I probly waste alot.
