Originally what is now termed "COB" (Circuit On Board) LED, were refered to as an "Intergrated array " which is made up of a matrix of SMD' (Surface Mounted Diodes) on a single "Chip" module.
It is now more popular to have reflectors as it is cheaper than using columnar refocusing lenses.
The Budzilla was one of the first Intergrated LED to be sold in the UK by "Greenlights" now called "Budmaster" and were manufactured by "Vanq".
These Are no longer sold by "Budmaster/greenlights" as their lights now come from "Evergrow" and use more traditional diodes with refocusing lenses.
"COB" is an easier more user friendly term to use than "intergrated" LED as it rolls of the tongue easier and your not left trying to explain what an intergrated array is.
Now we see them every where, after all they are so simple to manufacture , you can also get some fairly cheap diy kits consisting of a power supply/driver, "Cob" chip,heat sink & a fan.
Not so long ago making your own LED grow light was only possible if you knew what you were doing and had electronics experience.
