Compost Tea Brewing

Hi there,

A little question about aact. I grow just one plant in 4 gal container and wanna brew some aact for her. But all recipes are made for 5 gal, which is waste of water, ingridients etc. Is there a micro scale brewing recipe for 1 or 2 lt? If i need 1 cup ewc for 5 gal, then do i need 1/19 scale ewc for 1 lt? İf so, wth is 1/19 of one cup? How about molasses? 1/19 tsp? I am really lost in thoughts.

I have ewc, guano, humic fulvic acids in powder form, kelp, bs molasses. It is easy to brew 5 gal, but getting down to 1-2 lt is really hard to achive. Please help this noob, smiley.

well why not get a 2-3 gallon bucket and make a 2.5 gallon tea..?that'd be almost perfect.2 gallons of water and smaller TBspn is all.it'll be fine.

or

2 gallons of water(good water)

1 cup of fresh vermicompost(EWC)

1/2 cup mushroom compost

1/2 cup green based compost.or cow even

an ounce of molasses or a half ounce of molasses and half ounce of Fish(veg and/or bloom)

2 tsp of granular compost or 1 ounce of liquid compost

3-4 tsp of inoculate like great white or recharge or something similar or combo.

3 TBPS of Bokashi up to 1/2 cup

2 large TBspns of Azomite or similar rock dust


OR you could go more simple. like 2 gallons of water

then add 1 cup each of Castings and Bokashi and half cup of cow compost would do fine.

add 1 ounce of fish liquid,1 ounce liquid compost and 1/2 ounce to 1 ounce of molasses and a heaping Tablespoon of inoculate and brew for a little more thasn a day or 24 hours and that would be fine. of cut those in half and brew longer and cut with water as needed for amount.

FWIW- any extra tea I brew goes onto houseplants, outdoor plants or even trees in my yard. They ALL appreciate it. Even with a microgrow, I can’t imagine not having enough living things around me to use the extra tea on.

If you have a plant in 4 gallons of soil, I’d think it could take darn near a gallon of tea. My 5 gallon pots that aren’t all the way full hold over a gallon of tea before I get some runoff.

Your soil is to light , you are flushing the soil . have more organic matter in your soil . When I run 27 liter I have no need to have more than 2 liters , If you have to water that much you will lose a lot of your inputs . Knowing what your soil moisture retention is and why it helps, it is because of your microbe life , -- Soil -- It starts with your roots and what [ they like . ]
