I was wondering if you have ever taken a lux reading above the canopy with your cobs?

I know lux isn't the best measurement for light intensity in the range plants care about, but I have seen it can be used to estimate ppf/par. Just curious to see what those numbers might be since your plants are lookin real good!

I am going to chop a week from today. Many of the colas are falling over from the weight and I cannot safely reach them to tie them up . I knew when they got 55" tall I was going to have this problem. I fed lots of extra silicon to strengthen the stems and they are not breaking just bending over. some of the buds are over 20" long .

Oh yes, harvest is super close now mate. Flowers look stunning and check out that crystal coverage

Those fine details really do matter and when building your own light (something I would not even know where to start) is crucial

Ok I have been thinking about my support system for tall plants. As you know if you follow my threads there are some serious access problems with my grow space. Given the room I had to build it, it is the best I could do. Plants in the back are pretty much on their own after the front plants get over 24" tall. I have long clippers that I can defoliate with if needed but I cannot visually inspect them closely and adding additional support is nearly impossible. They might as well be on the moon. I have used netting on a frame like in a scrog but whole plant pictures for contests or documenting are not possible then as the plants get beat-up trying to get them out. The large six cell frame works fine for plants up to about 36" tall but 50"+ plants just fall over from the weight of the colas (a good problem on one hand) but messy in the final weeks. So here is what I have come up with for plants in the future. When the plants are first started I will place a large loop noose of plastic garden tie material around the base of the plant. Then when the plant is about 36" tall I can lift the loop up to the needed height and tighten the loop to pull the branches in but not too tight and then the end of the tie can be secured to the ceiling holding the branches upright. Trying to thread a loop around them after they get unruly is impractical and causes to much damage to the colas. I am not sure I have explained this well but next season when I grow Photoperiod plants again I will have photographs of what I am talking about here.

While I was typing this I got a variation idea on this that might be even easier. Instead of laying the loop on the floor how about attaching it to the cell on the frame . In any event I am working on this.

Here is a bunch of final pictures. I want to apologize to @Dinafem-Mark for such poor final pictures of Dinafem's Cookies. I just could not get the plants out of the grow space in any condition for them to stand on their own. The colas are so dense and heavy the stems just broke in several places.

The Royal Queen Seeds Critical got a bit of bud rot. That cola was standing alone in the wind but like the Cookies the colas are just super dense and it happens. I only lost about 6 inches of that cola.

Supporting them in the grow is not the problem. It is getting them out of the space when they are done.

The buds are first class in all categories. I generally don't rate the smell until after the cure but I have final trimmed a couple of buds just because! and they are Citrus-lemony, pine honeysuckle.

The harvest is in the jars and the numbers are in. 666 grams for the Dispensary or better Bud and the small buds. Here is the break down:
Center Rear Blueberry Cookies 152 g.
Left Rear Blueberry Cookies 145 g.
Front left Blueberry Cookies 90 g.
Right Rear OG Cookies 75 g.
Right Front OG Cookies 56 g.
Front Center RQS Critical 65 g.
mixed little buds (LARF) 83 g. will be making 2 pounds of canna butter with this today or tomorrow.

The sugar leaf trim is 88 g. I will make dry ice hash out of it.

Ok this is not my best yield but it is pretty good considering how hot it has been. Here are the photos of 1 jar of the Center Rear Blueberry Cookies:
