How long does it take for this grass/green smell to go away? I'm on my third day of curing. And also, does the bud potency get stronger the longer they cure? I'm just curious.

The hay or green grass smeel will go away but it might take two or three weeks. The buds might get a little stronger in time but not a great deal more.Don't forget to open the jars a few times a day to let some fresh air in.It all takes a little time and it should be fine.

the hay smell will go away in a couple of weeks maybe more depending on how long u tried for and ect, imo i think leaving the buds longer does increase the potency a little, as my 3 month old cured buds taste and smell so much sweeter then say my 1 month old cured bud. takes patience though but all worth it brother

make sure ya dry n cure your stuff in a darker place too.Direct light will degrade your meds over time.esp. when dryin n curing.Atleast Ive noticed a bit of a potency and smell change imo.:peace:

I invested in a hygrometer. About $20. Stuck it in the jar, it was to moist so left it dry for another day. Helped me feel that I was doing it right...

the grass smell will go away in the first couple of weeks.. i don't really know about the potency but i do know that the taste, smell, and burn is much better as it gets older .. :dance2:

Cool! Great advice guys, thanks a lot. I'll keep on curing and excersising patience.

Greggant2005, hope that everything will be allright after 1 month from harvest but if plants had not smelled when alive and if maybe not grown properly, depending on strain, nice smell might never come. That is an option too. I had180g of auto NL and I had been waiting for two months until I realised that smell would never recover.

I agree with this.

Peace

They smelled great when they were alive. I still smell the stinkiness a little now when I press or open the buds, but still grass/hay smell when I open the jar.
