I live on a native allotment, guess i buddied up with the right family! There is very little private property up here. Our first camp up in the Mts was private. No property taxes in the bush, 0 services up here. I think the entire NW Arctic borough has no taxes, even in the villages, which have lots of services
If you don't mind my asking Trail...and feel free to not answer..
How does it work up there with land? Do you own the land you're on? If so, I wouldn't imagine there are property taxes since there is nothing for the state to maintain. I've always wondered.
