Grow Room Delicious Dark Purple Auto

Yeah Bros! 3 of us with the same strain (this is my 1st grow as well), at about the same stage of growth.
Now I really do need to share a pick. Mine is prob about 10 - 11 inches as well. Did some extremely mild defoliation of some of the larger fan leaves to get light to the lower bud-sites. I am using a vipar 300W LED only, and hope it's enough light. So far so good though.
QUESTION: Which fan and vent combo are you guys running?

6 inches fan and filter. 2 x 4 tent 600 watt kind led. 2 plants in the tent.

You could start switching over to bloom nutrients, depends on the strain and how long it takes to finish but say midpoint of your grow you should be switched over, your plant looks healthy and is starting to bud out so i'd start switching over, probably would of done it a week ago, but that wont affect anything really, also you could start to use that bud candy (water) as well or say in a week and half to two, as you might as well use it up, but you probably won't need it.

I'm not a big fan of advance nutrients not that your asking for an opinion, and i'm not saying they cant grow good bud, but something to think about the next time you buy, is they are notoriously bad for selling diluted fertilizers with fancy names targeted and hyped for the canna community and are mainly just water in multiple bottles that you need to combine, compared to solid salt base nutrients, which when you think about it creates alot of waste from all those bottles that are used to hold all "mainly" water, and the energy needed to ship all that water around.

Like i said you didn't ask, but i just kinda cringe when i know how much money is wasted on theirs and similar products and how much waste and energy is used to transport them, something to consider and look into next time if you want, as its always better to have money in your pocket that you can use for other things.

Thanks Mr. Sparkle. I've had mediocre results with AN. When it's gone I'm going to try something new. I just flushed her yesterday and the 3 gallon pot is still kinda heavy. So I don't want to give bloom nutes until the pot gets a lil lighter in next few days. By tomorrow I will have the filter up in the top right hand corner in the back opposite of the cfm exhaust fan. Do you think having it low is what's causing the fan leaves to dry up and die?

Hi Casper and lads, what's everyone using to water their lady's? I thought $1 mineral water @ 7PH would be like champagne but I'm starting to think mine are a council pop (tap water) girls.

Hi Pharma Z. Thanks for joining the thread. I was wondering what ml of bloom nutes the other guys growing the same strain were using during the bloom stage? I don't want to kill it with too much.

Possibly not, but having the filter up high will make your box run cooler and have better air circulation which is a bonus.

Some bottom leaves no mater how much nutrients you give them will die off, it's just a case of the plant either growing quickly thus scavenging the older leaves for new growth where the resources will be of better use, or the bottom is getting shaded out and the same applies, if only the initial single bladed leaves and the next set of triple blades leaves are affected i wouldn't worry, and just pluck them when they are yellow. But if the whole plant is starting to show signs then its either a nitrogen deficiency or lockout.

But like i said your plant is looking healty keep it up.

As for ml of nutrients it differs for whatever bottle/brand you have, my suggestion is pick up a decent PPM/conductivity meter, i use a TDS meter by HM digital it's relatively inexpensive and it works pretty good, that way you always know what you have and its a measurable i water with a 600ppm nutrient mix, and thats with a 0.5 conversion, so 1.2ec

Ok so this is absolutely the best I can do as far as getting my filter higher due to the exhaust fan and the box only being 48" tall and 20" wide. Also the led light takes up most of the room up top. I have my light as high as it will go. I took a pic also of my baby out of the box so you guys can see what I mean.

Also.... Why in the world are my pics posting sideways?????

What's up Casper, good to see you growing again bro... Just checked out that strain looks like a good one, you know I love the purps ;)

Regarding the nutrients, I typically start the bloom nutes around week 5-6 and usually just keep them at 2ml/l. I start adding bud candy soon as I switch to bloom nutes as well, for all my supplements I've just been running them at 1ml/l.

Your plant seems to be looking good to me but hard to tell with the LED lights, if you can take some pics with them off next time it's a lot easier to spot any deficiencies.

Anyways, good luck with the grow man I'll keep an eye on it... I just started a new grow myself after a 6 month break from growing, link is in my sig if you want to tag along.

Looks good Casper would you not want to centralise the filter so you are using more surface area? Or even remove from the box and place outside, although I know it works better inside you might find with such a small area and only 1 plant outside would be fine, just a thought :)
