After a few hydro grows I'm switching back to soil(for this grow at least). Managed to snag a 3 pack(5 seeds with Meph math) of Mango Smile a couple months back.

Setup:
  • 3'x3' tent
  • PLC cx300 (340w Cree Cobs 3500k)
  • 4 x 5 gallon fabric pots
  • Mother Earth Groundswell and CocoPeat soils
  • 4" fan and carbon filter
  • 6" clip on fan
  • RO Water
  • Dehumidifier as needed

I found some Mother Earth brand soil at my local hardware store and wanted to give it a try. Ingredients look pretty solid: worm castings, guano, meals, all that good stuff. I have a friend growing in Terracraft, so I thought I'd give the Groundswell and Coco Peat a try. I'll probably install a perlite wick bed under these pots next week.

Mango Smile 1 and 2 are in Groundswell(left side). Mango Smile 3 and 4 are in Coco Peat(right side). Mango Smile 1 and 3 started in peat pucks(front). Mango Smile 2 and 4 directly in soil(back). I noticed I had to pluck the helmets off 1 and 3(peat pucks). Mango Smile 5 hanging out in a peat puck at the side of a pot as a backup. 5 out of 5 above soil today.

Jumpin on board for this one my friend :d5: it is gonna get busy in that tent with 4 of those big pots!! Good luck.

Thanks for stoppin' by. And I'm looking forward to a big bushy tent.

I visited my friend today to steal a few pics of the Mother Earth Terracraft plant. She's a Sweet Seeds Tropicana Poison, unknown days into flowering. Water only up to this point. In what looks like a 10 gallon pot. The plant on the right is unknown, in coco/perlite getting fed MegaCrop.

Good luck with the grow!
I’ve got a Mango Smile hanging in my drying tent right now. Second time I’ve grown her and definitely won’t be the last.
I’ve noticed they can be a bit fussy with N and be prepared for some extreme stretch in the next few weeks lol.
Looking forward to the show! :pop:

Cool, I want to see how these girls grow. I've got some sativas coming up for my next grow.
One of my beans is a Mango Isle { Mango Smile x Zamaldelica Express}.
Good luck, I'll be tagging along.

Well some bad news today. Opened up my tent to find Mango Smile 1 lying over ripped out of the soil. No clue what happened, I've made sure my cat can't get in the tent. Anyway, Mango Smile 5 has been promoted to Mango Smile 1.

Day 7
2 perlite wick bed installed. They hold about 6-7 gallons each. Mango Smile 2 (planted directly in the Groundswell) looks to be a bit behind the others.

Day 13
The groundswell 2 aren't looking so swell. Mango Smile 2 looks the same as last week, and Mango Smile 1 looks over watered. Doesn't look like the wick bed is gonna work for the groundswell. Mango Smile 3 and 4 in the cocopeat look pretty good; I'll probably top them this week.
