New Grower Did I just get sent a Generic Control Wizard 8?

Did I get an off brand Control Wizard Accurate 8 or is that really the packaging they sell it in?
Just asking cause the packaging seems really cheap and there's no Brand identification marks/logos and $65 seems expensive for a generic brand pH meter.
Should I send it back or do all of these basically work the same?

Check the picture from where you bought it, it might shed some light on if they're meant to be like that.

I've seen generic pH meters in that design for very cheap, so if you spent $65 be sure its not one of them.

Maybe go on the brand's website too?

Send it back.Those soil meters are not accurate,and you can buy a moisture meter at home depot for around four to six bucks.Your b etter off getting a good reg PH meter for fifty or sixty bucks that checks the liquid.Ive seen the meter you have for ten bucks at home depot.

The packaging looks the same as my Accurate 8 and it works great ... I prefer measuring soil ph to water ...

Cool thanks all for the Help. Muddy has confirmed it's the same packaging his came in. So I feel alot better.
Yeah Namvet I try to research to find out what's good and what's not. That's why I got the Hanna 98129 and the Control Wizard, I've heard nothing
but good things from them.
Just waiting for my replacement Carbon filter and seeds to get here. Still need to clean my room, but having ALOT of family health issues lately.
So hopefully I can get to it sometime this weekend.

Very glad I found this thread, I received my meter yesterday and though it was a bogus but looks like it's legit
