Hoods that use a plate of glass in the bottom, do so to contain the heat within the hood, that is the only benefit. You wouldn't want it to act like a lens, it would burn the plants. And actually, I believe their is some, small loss of light when it passes thru the glass. My aircooled hood has glass in the bottom. It allows me to get the light closer to my plants.

pop is right , glass absorbs light and unfortunately it takes away more of the usable light and lets through the visible (to us) light

Make sure you put an anchor at the bottom part of your plant before you start to bend her seasickdee2.
you need to have a piece of string wrapped around the bottom to hold her in place on the opposite side of where you have her ties down.
You dont want to pull the plants roots and stunt her so be careful when doing this.

that wasnt lame , you were gentile enough and not overly aggressive

when it grows a bit more move the tie to pull the new/higher growth over , like brian mentioned too about anchoring it , thats good advice , but if you continue without being overly aggressive you will do fine

I have 2 going side by side.. but only LST one in case I mess them both up.

Also goona start on nutes tomorrow.. can you feed them part grow and part bloom together?
