thats less than 10% of the total root mass there! i hope that colour is just dye from the rockwool. bit colour blind so i cant really tell whats happening. theyre happy so ill asume its ok for now.

actually, @sanguine your pretty knowledgeable with root problems are you not? ive got grow room specs over the cam so the colour, whatever it may be, should be fairly accurate.

theyre not sludgy or anything and they feel healthy. just worried about the colour.
The rockwool itself doesnt have any dyes, some nutrients and additives can stain the roots a bit. Hard to tell from the pics but it looks dead on to me mate. Have a sniff in the roots youll soon know if theres a problem!

sweet! thanks man youve just massively reduced the likelyhood of that throbbing vein on the side of my head popping lol. theres no bad smells so ill asume its my bloom nutes. its a good job i can see greens perfectly. just red/orange kinda colours that confuse me and ruin my day.

I've got one nearing harvest and it's on half strength nutes because that's more than she is using and keeps my pH in range without pH down. She's still getting as balanced a diet as I can give her so she tastes nice......pH down really doesn't seem to help flavour late in flower and neither does too much nutes and these final flush/flawless finish type products just seem to be a light mix of nutes they charge extra for so I'm just going light on the base nutes which hopefully does the same thing.
PS sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday....was half way to your bit and back running aboot like a daftie

pretty confident with my knowledge of anything and everything that can go wrong with plants now. test me with a (non root) photo and i'll wager a rep slap on a detailed survey based on what can be seen. i really have clocked up some rediculous study hours recently and im feeling quite proud of myself.
(i dont do a lot a work, quite
often nothing at all other than reading up. i get paid well though

my next source of study shall be roots!
i avoided the subject as ive never had any worries untill now. if i could punch colour blindness in the face though,I WOULD!
ill have to go blind, on knowledge alone for this one as i pretty much see only light and dark there.
light reds/browns/oranges/dark yellows etc can all look the same to me depending on whatever so ill have to learn every other way to recognise it. . i really cant get enough of all this though. learning everything on here and generally just being on here, has really improved my overall persona. im a much more positive, less stressed out, happier person.
to start with, i dont have the dramas of facebook anymore. was on it for 7 or 8 years and stopped cold turkey after a few weeks. Zukerberg might be a billionaire but he'............. would probably pay millions for the canny lass and her squad that run this place and do everything that he cant! or as far as ive seen, anyone else! best online environment ever created in my book.
