New Grower Dutch Passion Auto Blueberry - what does it like?

ROFL Ladies are looking quite forgiving already. Will get a link or pic up on the weekend :)
Im just worried now they are so behind, and with autos having a strict time line.
On day 19...with the stunting in consideration, I know you can't really say but roughly where would you guestimate flowering and bulb changes day wise?

And if you think my reference to FJ was funny, you should have seen the look on the guys face at lidl today when I bought a four pack of tinnies and a massive roll of duck tape.
When I saw what he was clearly thinking I asked if the shovels and stain remover were in stock :P
Priceless.

you wait until you see pre-flowers before u switch bulb. Got a couple of weeks left yet as so behind. I will tell you when to switch it anyway

And yes they do look quite small compared to my AB. Healthy though, what's your setup a9y??? Pots, medium nutes ECT ??

Small on purpose, as even in those tiny pots the plants can crowd the cab. I start counting from the day I put the seeds in the coffee filter to germinate if that makes a difference. Three days later I put them in soil (usually sooner but they took longer to pop due to the cold). This is the last time I'm growing in this setup as I want to be able to give them more room but I have had some success in this setup before.

I typically stick with the daylight bulbs, no changeout.

The supplemental sidelights are just old GlowPanels, 14w I think. I move and turn them daily to keep their light varied.

FoxFarm grow, Ocean Forest soil, Grow Big/Big Bloom/Tiger Bloom, rainwater from my barrel. Basically following the FF feeding guide but I have seen a few posts where people say to let the FFOF take care of them for the first three weeks, so as to avoid overfeeding. I am trying to not over-stress on this grow (for a change). And I don't expect the grow cycle to match the projected harvest days with the light setup I have, I know it's not great. So long as they're healthy and progressing I'm happy. It takes them a little longer to get there is all. When it comes to growing I'm not a 'chef', just a serviceable cook.

Planning to invest in a larger setup with one of the new generation LED fixtures but some other things that have to come first. Maybe by that time it'll be safe to grow outside where I live (just kidding, it's practically illegal to be gay or Not White or indeed even happy where I live. We'll come around to legalization when they send the army in to make us.).

I know the AB looks like overwatering but I promise I'm not; making a point of putting it off longer than I want to this time. The leaves have had that shape from the beginning though. I do think it might just be a poor specimen from that gene pool, but it actually doesn't seem to be putting out a sickly vibe looking at it up close. Seems perfectly happy. As I say, I had a little freakella pop up in one of my Gnomo grows that lagged behind for the first few weeks and then shot up with TWO main trunks halfway through and outyielded them all. I'd thought it was a runt but she showed me. So if the AB wants to let the others do their thing first and then take the stage solo that's fine with me, it will actually work out well. And if it stays small, that's fine. I stunted one on my last disastrous grow that only gave me 4g in the end but made a kickass pan of brownies.

In short, patience and low expectations make it easy for me to be grateful for whatever I can get out of this tiny setup :) still getting more for the money than I could buy with it, even if I still knew where to buy any around here, and at least I know it's clean and safe to cook with.

My thoughts exactly. I will have a update on mine later today a9ymous, your AB looks like a giant compared to mine :')

My AB still hasn't really shown sex with any conviction yet. I can just barely see some really tiny white hairs and some little bulbous growths that make me nervous enough that I'm checking the cabinet a few times a day to make sure they're not male bits. KannabisKing said something about ABs being prone to hermie, and I've seen mention of late sexing and saying that their bud sites just look a little different. Working my nerves!

AutoBlueberry vs Bluematic

stonedBRO, you're growing the Bluemtics right?

from this post: found it looking for information on the AB and showing sex.

"i have got my 2 autos, 1 x blueberry auto and 1 x royal bluematic, both are blueberry cross with ruderalis, the one is clearly in flower and i wont be getting much off it unless it grows like crazy in flower, the top set of fan leaves have a sort of dark greeny blue look to them so hoping for some nice blue buds, keeping my fingers crossed, now the bluematic is the same age as the one in flower but seems to be growing a lot slower and is growing like a regular plant, so ill need to see what happens with that one, it could be male but its way to early to tell either way, both where regular seeds so if i only have 1 fem then ill be happy with that, and if i only get 1 purple bud then ill be happier still."

Hey a9ymous,

Check my sig, day 22 on the Bluematics.

Cant wait for your next update bud (Y)

The auto blueberry is definitely a girl at least. She still seems healthy and fine, and she's growing, just a lot more slowly than the others. Starting to think she's just a dwarf or something. The other two were shooting up too close to the light so I took the shelf out. The AB is on a booster seat (quart of paint) so she doesn't get shaded out. Still rotating and moving the plants each day. Lots of bud sites busting out on the Gnomo and Pineapple Express, a few coming along on the AB. They're all bringing the good stink!

Day 37, Gnomo and Pineapple Express continuing to develop flower sites, while the AutoBlueberry is neither growing noticeably nor increasing flower sites noticeably... but she seems quite content in her arrested development. She's a bit rufflued up as the fan was blowing directly on her before I took this pic.

Need to step up the odor control in the house.

These day 44 pics are from yesterday. Auto Blueberry is still lagging behind, growing and changing a little but veeerry slowly. The other two are increasing bud sites rapidly enough that I can see a difference in fullness today just since taking these. Gnomo doesn't like being trained but I've got to do something soon or else she's going to get singed. I've never cut off the top, main stalk before as it seems Wrong, but if it's not too bad to do I might, as even if Gnomo doesn't get pissed about being bent down, there's really no room left to do so without removing the Auto Blueberry. And I don't want to do that.

Not sure how much they will get shrunk uploading but both of the big ones are starting to get their twinkle on.

I hate the risk, but otherwise I really enjoy growing...
