New Grower Dutch Passion Auto Blueberry - what does it like?

Thanks CZ, nice to see what I've got to look forward to :tiphat:

Been sick as nuts all week, and things went downhill fast. Couldn't get down there much, went down once to find everyone so dry they were drooping and then two days later went down and the leaves were starting to look bad, mostly on Gnomo but a little on the others too. Possibly calmag deficiency? Fortunately I had ordered some already before I got sick (the kind with iron too) so I did have it on hand to start applying. I guess it will take a little while to tell if it's helping since the leaf damage doesn't reverse usually & I'll have to tell from the new growth. Been trying to make it up to them today.

At day 58 the auto blueberry is almost ready to stand in the cabinet without the booster seat but I might wait until there's more room.

leaves not so bad on the AB yet, hopefully they won't get worse

The pineapple express is only a little worse than the AB.

Really hope this bump in the road doesn't slow Gnomo down too much. She was (is) looking good close up.

I already took some of the first fan leaves to crap out off of the Gnomo, so it was a little worse than this. Gnomo is supposed to be more tolerant of overfeeding so this is why I think it was a deficiency and not a toxicity; if Gnomo was showing it first and the others after the fact. An overdose would probably have shown on Gnomo last.

In case anyone was wondering, I did do a close inspection of the damaged leaves I took off to see if it looked like a bug problem, but saw nothing (at least under bright light with a 30x loupe). Hopefully the calmag with iron will do the trick.

Day 74. I was sick for a couple of weeks and they went droopy dry at least two more times after my last post. The calmag plus seemed to help arrest the leaf damage, but I wasn't able to stay on top of this grow as much as I would have liked. The two larger ones are dropping some leaves now. Still, pretty happy with the bud development considering. Have switched the Gnomo and Pineapple Express to plain water and will move them out of the cabinet to a dark corner of a room in a few days. The Auto Blueberry seems pretty happy though not huge. It'll get more light when the larger plants are moved out and I'll give it all the time it wants to finish. It'll be about 11 weeks total from putting the seeds in coffee filters for the other two.

Pretty happy family right there! :)

Thanks! I'll have plenty to cook with through the fall at least :) and will probably set a little of the fruity ones aside for smoking just so we don't miss out on the flavor.

Hey A9ymous :) got some nice colas there gal! Glad you managed to get onto of that def, Cant wait till they are all taken out of there, dried up and weighed (Y)
I will get some pics uploaded to mine soon, been so busy, Im on day 67, 2 big girls and a midget, bud site showing on all 3, only a couple weeks left! :D tent is pretty much filled at the bottom, had to move my extraction fan outside lol
Will check in soon, watch this space for an update my end to ;)

Hey stonedBRO, was wondering how things were going with yours. Thanks, I am going to try and dry these properly this time and we'll see how much it comes out to. Will be keeping an eye on your log :)

I just realized that the calmag with iron I've been using, Botanicare, is not organic. Not sure how I dropped the ball on that.. well except that I'm at least a little bit high a lot these days when I'm not working [insert sheepish emoticon here] I'd been thinking about skipping the flush and feeding Big Bloom (which is organic) lightly up till harvest, as I've been reading a lot that suggests flushing is not usually needed for organic grows and can actually detract from harvest, unless you've either overfertilized or used toxic crap, and I didn't think I had done either. Haven't used much of the Botanicare, and it helped, but now I guess I'd better stick with the original plan of a short 'flush' with plain rainwater before moving them to a dark corner for a bit. Or maybe moving them to the sink for a real flush before switching them to light Big Bloom? Your thoughts are welcome nice peoples.

I got a new toy in the mail today, USB microscope, so hopefully can manage some good pics this weekend.

Okay, I'm concerned the PE is going hermie. New weird growth on the main cola. Was going to harvest her in a couple of days, should I yank her now??? Edited: yeah, I think I'd better....

Is that the only instance of it, or is it elsewhere as well?

But yeah, if it's coming down in a couple days anyway....

There are a couple of other places where that same pale yellow-green is pushing out of the flower centers, but that's the most distinctly-shaped growth on it. The other site isn't in as good a focus, sorry. I took her out of the cab to hang out in a dark corner for a couple of days before I harvest her.

I'll do the same with Gnomo tomorrow probably, she looks pretty ready based on closeups.

If anything got fertilized it might be the auto blueberry. Guess I couldn't complain if a couple of seeds came out of this. This is about the time of year it gets harder to keep the temps down. Until recently it stayed between 75-80F but it's gotten close to 85 past couple of days. Might have something to do with it.
