Outdoor Ebb and flow or water directly

so I got me a house on almost 4 acres, there's a huge garden area I'm going to fence a section of it to grow? My irrigation water is the flood kind. You open a main valve and its fed by gated pipe. I want to start preparing the are in the next few months. So what's your ideas on ebb flow or top watering.

Not sure what you mean exactly, I use drip irrigation for my vegetable garden.

Here we let the rain do the watering shortly after planting. I only water the first couple of days.
