Hello everyone!

I am attempting my first grow. I have a journal going on another site as well, but I'm growing all Auto's so I figured this would be a great place to post a journal too.

I have a small amount of growing experience in the past, but this will be my first real grow.

What I'm using:

2x4x5 Grow Tent

4 T12 Fluorescent for Veg

600 Watt HPS Cooltube for Flower

Small Humidfier

6in Osc. Fan

6 3 Gal Black Plastic Pots

6in exhaust for Cooltube

4in exhaust for additional heat

Passive Intake

Soil:

3 buckets Miracle Gro Organic Choice Garden Soil

3 1/2 buckets perlite

1/2 bucket of some Miracle Gro Potting soil I had laying around.

1/2 Bucket of peat moss.

Seeds:

3 Auto Seeds Auto Berry Ryder

1 Dinafem Auto Critical Jack

1 Dutch Passion Auto Mazar

1 Dinafem Auto Blue Cheese

4 Random Bagseeds

The bagseeds have sprouted and are about 1 week old. The auto seeds were just planted yesterday. I planted them directly into the pots and put saran wrap with holes poked through. I plan on narrowing down the bagseeds to 1 plant or possibly eliminating them completely as they are Regular photoperiod and I'm not sure about space and mixing the them with autos in the same tent.. Here's a few pics...

Lol thanks appreciate any help you can give. Fortunately I'm only running 1 Mazar. I think that one and critical jack will be the big ones from what I've read the berry ryder and blue cheese will be a little smaller. I'm a complete noob tho so who knows.

Update:

Day 4

4 of my 6 seeds have sprouted! The 2 left are both berry ryder. Thinking its time to throw out the bagseed sprouts seems how I'm limited on space. Any opinions?

when you say bagseed what do you mean? like random seeds found in buds or random seeds that were sent to you? are they auto's also?

Random bag seeds a buddy gave me. Got them as a backup cuz my first seed order didn't make it through. Now i got my seed order they're all sprouted over a week old. If I give each plant 1sq foot that means I could squeeze 8 total. 6 autos and the 2 bagseeds but not sure it's worth sacrificing the space and the headache of timing the regular seeds with the autos plus I'm worried that 1sq foot per plant isn't enough lol. Hate to throw then away tho cuz they're doing really well but I don't have anyone to give them to or anywhere else to put them.

if it's your 1st grow keep it simple, I wouldn't complicate things by running photo's with auto's just coz it can be problematic, not for the experienced grower but rookies like me it would present a challenge, it's your call at the end of the day tho man, if you feel it's for the greater good then chuck em but if you're up for some auto/photo madness then ill look forward to it :tiphat:

Thanks again for the great info. I agree I just need to keep things simple. I over think everything! Lol pretty sure ill end up throwing them out but we'll see. Do you have any problems with crowding in your setup? Also any heat or humidity issues as the space gets fuller? Sorry for all the questions but yours is a great example of what I'm trying to do.

i ran into a few problems alright, I solved the crowding by using cable ties to train the branches to grow up, as for heat where I live it's summertime now and my room gets kind of hot during the day, so with that in mind I had my light timed to go off from 12 noon to 6pm to avoid it getting too hot during its peak, i left the osc fans running too to keep it cool, fortunately my carbon filter is sweet as a nut so I am able to keep my tent slightly open for extra passive intake, I don't use an intake fan, I just let the air naturally come in from the bottom flaps of the tent, more intake makes your extractor fan pointless as the extra air pushes the smell through the tent, and trust me you don't want that whiff leaking out, humidity was no problem for me, I did a lot of leaf tucking too when the plant started to get a bit stronger, this is a great technique and lets all your bud sites get light without having to resort to cutting your fan leaves off, some people cut them but i don't like to, it's best to let em just fall off naturally, ill definatly grow automazars again but I'll need a bigger tent, hope that helps, looking forward to seeing your grow

That def helps! Im using my flaps for a passive intake as well. My temps max out at around 84 when I run my HPS at 400w vs 600w otherwise I'm between 74-78 with just the t12's. I still haven't gotten a carbon scrubber/inline fan yet so I'm using a 6in duct fan in the meantime. I will be buying one around my 2nd month depending on smell. Found a 4in inline fan, carbon filter and fan speed controller for $140. I'm def going to read up on the leaf tucking. Little worried about stressing them too much cuz I've heard they can hermie fairly easily otherwise if I wasn't worried I'd go for a scrog for now ill try to lst and leaf tuck. Now that i see how big your mazar got i'm pretty sure the bag seeds have to go lol. Maybe my next grow I can try scrog cuz still have lots of good beans to try :D
