I poured a cup of water on and around where the seed would be placed (is that good?). Put the seed in about twice its height, the growth is nearly at the soil level, lightly covered it with soil. The gauge you can see in the picture is the RH level. That room with the lights is so bright Im glad the cell phones camera's iris compensated. Well on to the next thing.

Um really quick how close is too close in terms of CFL's in relation to each other? (23 watt) 1600 lumen 5oook

Panic not real sure about how close together but you can put them fairly close to the plant they are not too hot like hid or hps for those I use the soft part of hand to gauge heat at top of plant (moving mine up every day this week I love it) :-) looks good in there I love bright more light is more grow juice for plant lol. Peace

Thanks for the reply. But cfl next to another cfl, can they be touching? its hot but i can still hold them in my hand with very little discomfort.

I think you can have cfls pretty close to each other make sure you have lots of air flow going on in there to keep them cool always point fan up thru plant towards light if possible not down on the plant. Make sure you have a little movement of the plant from air from the very beginning makes them strong not blowing them over strong but it's ok to bounce them around a little bit. I put a fan on mine from very beginning and never turn it off except for in the dark. The air movement helps cool your lights( I just put fan in my big one yesterday) and helps your plants breathe and makes them strong

Ty, I looked at it today it is almost a sapling. its already out of the ground when i re-watered it today. yesterday i didn't put on the humidity dome so the soil dried out quick. I put one an and let it do its thing, but the soil was still pretty dry. I added a little more water like 1/2 a cup. Im going to let it dry slightly and the put the dome back over it.
