New Grower First grow - Purple Cheese, Blue Amnesia, Candy Kush

Question for anyone..I just put 2 candy kush seeds that had cracked in a paper towel into soil. Question is, is it best to put the pots somewhere completely dark or is it ok to leave them in a corner of the room where there's no direct light. There is light on the pots but the light sources are far away. I can put them in a different totally dark closet if that's better. Just wanted to leave them in the grow room because it's much warmer and much more humid in there. May be a simple, dumb question but just wanted to know. Thanks in advance

Just some updates on everything. Currently 84f with RH of 71%

Purple cheese is at day 43. 21 inches tall. Light is 20 inches from top of plant.

Blue Amnesia #1 is at 12 inches tall. Day 24. Under new 300watt LED. 16 inches from top of the plant. Also a smaller blue amnesia under this light.

New this morning is my first candy kush. Under the UFO 150 watt. 16 inches from plant. In a mix of OF and Advanced Sunshine #4.

How's everything look?

Had a friends CFL setup so I figured why let it just go to waste?? I feel like my seedlings do better under the CFL's for the first week or so rather than starting under LED. Anyone else feel this way?

Anyway..moved the two Candy Kush under the CFL's. Day 1 and day 2

Looking good..I keep mine in the light with a dome till they pop out the soil...I would put my lights closer to my blooming plant if its not stretching anymore..try a foot from it then bring it down till you get about 8 inches from it.:smokebuds:

I have cfls's and as soon as the seedling came out of the ground it grew 2 inches straight out. Yours looks pretty text book at this point. Mine is only like 4" at the most away from the light. If your hand can barely feel it is what i've read.

Lowered the light over the purple cheese. I can see the blue amnesia is slowing as well and forming it's top cola. I'll leave the light at this distance for a while and lower later on. Girls are looking good.

I gave 1/2TSP grow big and 1/4TSP big bloom to the blue amnesia.

5/8TSP tiger bloom and 1/2TSP big bloom to the purple cheese.

Going to a local hydro store later today to pick up a few things. Looking for new line of nutrients. I like the fox farm stuff but having to buffer the ph everytime is tedious. The tiger bloom seems to drop my ph level almost 3 full points. Any opinions? I know advanced nutrients is a good line. Also looking for more soil. Really like the advanced sunshine #4 and will probably go with that again. Maybe roots organic?

So the head guy at my hydro store recommended the Botanicare line of nutrients, among others, but I decided on those. Along with some Humboldt Ginormous
