New Grower First grow starting this week - 1xNirvana Blue Mystic 1xNirvana Short Rider

I use CalMag+ From Botanicare ... lots of folks use Epsom Salts ... might want to treat it for a mag deficiency and see if that helps ... lots of info here about home remedies for deficiencies ... yellowed leaves do not return to green, when you get it right you stop seeing new yellow ... if your nutes lack mag you may need to add some ...

thanks Chester for the input. I broke down last night and ordered the full line of roots organic nutes. I'm going to follow their feedings exactly as soon as they arrive. I'll add some epson salts in the meantime. I'm glad to hear that they can hopefully survive my newbie attempts. I'm already wondering what I will do differently next grow.

Once you get them to this point you'd almost have to step on your dick not to get a harvest out of them ...

Thats some really nice goings on ya got there.I bet they smell awesome too."AFN smoke out"

Thanks man. Smell isn't heavy yet, but I do love what is there up close! I have a jar of ONO sitting in there and it is doing a good job. I have an exhaust fan in the room in the window since the cat box is in there too, so all is going out to the backyard anyway!

My earth juice cal mag arrived. I dosed them with that. Have blood meal arriving tomorrow for additional nitrogen. Also noticed my fungus gnats are back. I just crumbled mosquito dunks on top last week. Can't believe they are still around. Lots of tweaking and figuring things out going on here!

Day 48 Blue mystics Day 41 Short Rider

I decided not to dose the plants with blood meal. It has 13-0 -0 npk and I am worried that might be TOO much N for flowering. The Cal-N-Mag has 3-0-0 so that had some N in it and I don't think I want to go any higher, plus am afraid that blood would ruin the taste! I think I have about 4 weeks to go and I think they will make it to the end even with the yellowing. Possibly my pots are just not big enough and used up the N in the soil early or I just was underfeeding them for a while. Anyway the buds do look good to me. And that is what I'm going to smoke. The blues quit growing up entirely. The Short rider shot up another 6 inches since my last post and is now the tallest. It is going to have one hell of a main cola! Looks like it will be 7-8 inches. My business trip has been pushed to mid August, so hopefully will have time to harvest and cure prior to leaving. I'm looking at needing to harvest last week of July to have them all jarred up by the time i leave on my trip. I can possibly slide that trip one more week and and that would be perfect. Here are some pics. The last one you can see all three in the cabinet. The Short Rider is in the back on the right. There is a paint stick leaning on the stalk in the front Blue mystic so you can gage the size. From 20 inches being the shortest - thats the one that lost its main cola due to light burn and about 26 for the shortrider. One other thing I'd like to mention is that the Blue Mystic with the loss of main cola does seem to have another branch toward the side that looks like it will be the big cola now. Is that usual? Thanks for looking! Again as always any thoughts or advice are welcome. :peace:

They look really nice. Gotta love trichs on the underside of the sugar leaves....:)

And yeah....I think it's common for a plant that looses it's primary stalk to either seek out a new candidate or start another one.

Hiya firstly congrats on the grow they are all looking good, and yes it's the plants natural tendencies to form another main stem it's what happens when you pinch out the growing tip on photo's you get two main stems.
My og kush i'm growing at the moment had her head snapped off and now she is a three headed monster don't ask me why or how but three of her side branches turned skywards
