Ok I am starting anew first hydro grow little nervous about screwing up but with your help all will be good!
This is what I will be using a general hydroponics aqua farm recirculating drip system
A 400 watt mh on a track to veg
1000hps for flower
General hydro ponics flora series nutes
All the timers and fans don't have exhaust yet but grow vents to attic now.
I been a little nervous because my supplies have been delayed but will be here in time. So I germed my seeds yesterday and put them in rock wool today plus five mothers for my next grow which will be photos. This will be four whitewidows and one fruit auto it was free the widow I know is good just finished a soil grow of four of them.
I will post pics of system tommorow going to put the whole day into it better than working for sure! :smokebuds: ps this will be interesting to compare the difference from soil to hydro in terms of size rate of growth and yield I have daily pics of soil grow

Good luck on your first hydro grow, I'm just completing my first hydro crop (and my first grow ever, for that matter) and although hydro has a steeper learning curve than soil, if you use the knowledge and experience of those on this forum and elsewhere (your grow shop, friends, etc) you too can be on your way to a large, dank and satisfying first hydro harvest (I'm guessing I'll average 5 oz's or better on my auto NL's, excited to havest!)

the way the flowering times worked out on the different phenos (and the different degrees to which I stunted their growth, lol) I'll be harvesting one a week for the next 5 weeks, already pulled the first of 6 last week

smoke report coming soon on that one, it'll only amount to about 2 zips, but my other plants will make up for it, I'm guessing. The one I'm harvesting in 3 days should weigh in between 5 and 6 oz's

the one I'm pulling next week maybe a quap

The sister (in phenotype) of the one I'm pulling in 3 days will be ready a week after that, probably another 5 or 6 oz's on that one. (still need to get a pic of it) Then comes the beast the week after that

and I'd be very much surprised to yield less than a half pound on that one, I'd consider even 10 or 12 oz's a possibility, it's so bushy already, with huge, dense colas, and weeks to go. Finally. the last plant got stunted for so long, I didn't think it would ever be a full size plant, but it seems now to have made a full recovery, and I expect to pull between 2-4 oz's at least on it (have to wait and see how it fills out) but it will take at least 2-3 weeks past the others to fully mature. So I'm guessing between 26-34 oz's of Northern lights off of those 6 plants. I'd love to take full credit for this upcoming bountiful harvest, but in all honesty, as a first time grower, I made nearly every mistake it is possible to make with these plants in the beginning before I got my hydro (and growing) skills a bit more dialed in. The phenomenal genetics of Vision seeds Northern Lights auto are far more deserving of the credit. I had 7 NL auto seeds and 9 of other strains on this grow, all but 2 of those 9 didn't make it out of the seedling stage and the 2 that did probably yielded me a total of 10 grams overall due to my "tender" care, really thankful for those forgiving genetics, can't recommend Vision Seeds enough. So much so, I decided the bulk of our next auto crop will be 10 of their auto AK-49's. I learned a lot on this grow though, and know that I will do much better with the "less forgiving" strains that I'm running on our next auto grow (3 Freedom of Seeds A Little Kushy auto, 1 World of Seeds NL x Big Bud auto and a Dinafem Original Amnesia auto) going to start planting for that one in a week or so when I receive the bulk of the seeds.

Otto looking really good. My seeds are vision also and all have popped for last two grows. I really messed my first soil grow up did everything wrong for an auto. Second grow produced some really good white widow better than any I have obtained from dispensary.
Did you top your nl's at all?
Spent most of day on grow room today, plumbed the ro in and ran extra power circuit, hung light rail and light tested it. I did top most of the NL autos, but in all honesty, I'm not sure whether it was helpful or not. The other auto strains I topped in that crop responded horribly to it, I feel that's maybe the biggest reason I didn't yield well on them. I wouldn't top yours, but I would clear out all insignificant lower growth as flowering begins so as to give all the energy to your tops.

Emergency

My hydro store has failed me epically my hydro ton or clay pebbles are not here and won't be here in time my seeds need to go in some sort of media today the roots are coming out the bottom of rock wool cubes! What else can I use that I can find at Home Depot or lowes emergency!!!!!!!!!!!! Help me help my babies please
