No, it wont hurt them to remove those leaves. Its common sometimes for bottom leaves to turn yellow and dye off so nothing to worry about.

Wrap it in duct tape.
I've got it wrapped up but it was difficult due to the location. I've also supported it with a stick also. It happened 5 mins ago and already everything is looking dead on it. Oh well if it doesn't hermie Itll just be 2 main colas this ones grown very peculiar :dance:

This plant has had a very hard life up to now. She's only got 3 or 4 bud sites left and the tops aren't openening

From your pic, I don't see anything wrong. I'd say leave it, especially if its your first time. Getting through an entire grow will help you out on your second grow. I wouldn't toss it unless it was completely dead.
