New Grower First Time Grow DWC

Hey Guys:
My setup is as follows
System: DWC- 20gallon
Lights: 600wattMH
Grow Space: 4x4x6.5
Ventilation: 6" inline fan/ carbon filter
Nutes: 1/4 Humbolt Nutrients, 1/4 Voodoo Juice, 1/4 B-52
PH:5.5
I am growing 5 autos and to reggies.
The little runt is a reggie I think I over watered.
Taking any and all advice to help make this grow successful. The plants are 22 days old...When will I know their sex?

Amourad, welcome to AFN! Doesn't sound like a bad setup to me. Autos will show sex generally around week 3, males tend to show a little earlier. This can depend on strain though. What strain are your autos?

Also might be beneficial to bring pH up a tiny bit to 5.7/5.8 to avoid nute lockout.

When should I switch the lighting and will switView attachment 169833ching to a HPS light affect the Reggies growing with the autos under the same light schedule 18/6?

Any advice for this possible lady?

Hello and welcome to the site. Glad to have you. I'm no Hydro guy, but I'll try and get someone over here for you. I do know that your light schedule is fine for both until you want to make the reggae one flower, you'll need 12/12 for that. Which will decrease growth and yields on your Autos. Considering it's growth behind the others and the fact that it's a bagseed Photo, I suggest just pulling it and replacing it with another Auto if you have one. If you let the reggie veg for 2.5 months, most likely it will be a monster!, but it might not be the best idea to flower a reggie in the same room as autos (it can be done, but your autos will suffer if they only get 12 hrs of light per day (required to flower photos)). It is usually ok to veg photos in the same room as your autos are flowering (because they will do so on 18-20 hours of light, even 24 hrs!)

ok, that clears that up for now but I'll probably be asking in 2.5 months again........Do I need to switch to a HPS to flower the autos? And if I understand you guys correctly as long as I dont change the 18/6 light schedule my reggie shouldnt flower under the HPS light, right?

Welcome to THE AutoFlower Network. The home of everything auto and all vibes good.

Awesome set-up man. Very clean for a first time grow. Really digging it! No, you do not need to switch to HPS to flower the auto-flowers, they will flower on their own in due time. They typically sex between 18-28 days depending on the strain. As well, I'd bring your pH up as Fridge mentioned. 5.5 is considerably low and will lock out much needed nutrients. I'm adding a pH chart at the bottom of this post to give you a better idea of what's absorbed at what pH. You're correct that reginald will not flower until it's under 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness. Switching to HPS after the autoflowers stop vertical growth will give you denser buds because the spectrum is primarily red which is the spectrum needed for flower / fruit development. Do not switch to bloom nutes until vertical growth has stopped!

What's your rez temperature at right now? Are you monitoring it?
