New Grower First time grower Vision AK49 | Dinafem Critical Jack

Hey AFN!
First time growing, and hoping all will end with a nice smoke.
I knock these seedling directly into a cup(promix) with the bottom cut off, then directly into a 3gal pot(OF), with 4 soft cfl bulb sitting at close 4 inches away from seedlings.
Germination took 2-3days since watering.

Edit: 3-7-2013 I will be updating pictures etc. onto this first post, that way you guys don't need to go thru so many pages looking for updates(pictures).

This is day 3;



This is day 5; Tips/edges of plant are starting to slightly curl up, bad indication. HELP!

Yeah, they are definitely stretching a bit, tonight if they are still stretching I'm going to take your advice and drop the bulbs down an inch.

The edges of the leaf are starting to curl up, I don't know what the problem is.
Did a little research turns out I might be over watering and too much ventilation,
Turn off fan, no feeding tonight. going to check back tomorrow to see if the plants are okay.
They seem maybe a little stress?

Day 7

They are looking extremely healthy at this point.
gave them a full watering today.
The fact that they stretch a little tall during the seedling stage,
they seem to slow down now that the lights are closer.
Overall extremely happy with the color of the girls.

I plan to keep my grow as organic as possible just water and soil, as little nutes as possible if needed for emergency.

Good call with the lights, Squid. What lights are you using exactly, uclssm?
Do you have some air circulating in there? A fan blowing air around to cause the plants to move a little, strengthening their stems will be very beneficial. Don't let it blow them over, it should just move the air around so the leaves move a bit and your good.

THanks Noods!!! yeah I have a 4' fan blowing on top of em,
Orignally had 4 2700k cfl on these girls, yesterday I changed em out for 4 6500k cfl bulbs, I didn't realize i was using the wrong output for them and corrected the problem instantly when i found out i was using the wrong bulbs for em' !!:no:.
They seem to love the 6500k and all looks good.

Their stems looks a bit dinky, I have the fan running on them and i really do hope this will strengthen and thicken em up a bit..
