First time grower with an organic soil question

you could just image that little plastic cup as a guildline and just do it with that image in mind fill that part with seedling mix into the final pot, thats what ive had success with just imaginning what a plant would need for 1-2 weeks(the seedling mix) imagine wht the roots do

Somewhere on the forum In one of FD's thread I remember reading that it is not recommended to place the cup in the soil from the beginning as the cup can soak up nutes from the bottom and cause burn. I think it was in grow one with FD thread, just do a bit of research as he also comes up with a smarter way to do the tier method in that thread

Unfortunately, this being my first grow i have no idea how much room the roots will actually use. lol Would just a solocup sized hole filled with seed starter work?
