Hey AFN,

Back in Feb 2013 i was getting ready for my first time grow, as i was getting ready to start setting up. My basement got flooded after three days of crazy rain and all my equipment was under 3ft of water and ruined everything. now im back trying to start over. my budget last time was $700 but now money is a lil tighter my new Budget is $500. just needs some insight on equipment what exactly my budget can do for me. and also what strain best for a NOOB. I like Autoseeds Auto Chemdawg, but i would like to get some dragons ive been hearing great things about. especially Mossys Black Dragon!!! Thanks in advance :)

Oh man, sorry to hear about your troubles. This is a pic of a pretty cheap route Ive taken in the past.the light is around 160 bucks and the 3 gallon hydrofarms dirt pots I bought for 20 dollars(5 pack) right to my door.vent fans are around 20 bucks a piece on amazon.(240 cfm)carbon filter is roughly 80 bucks, and ducting if needed is 25 bucks.Imho some strains that are really easy to grow are, northern lights,Dinafems Haze 2.0,White labels super skunk,Spliffs dutch automatic,Cream of the crop Narcotic Kush. These seemed imo to be pretty easy to grow.I hope this helps you figure out which route to take buddy.Be well, and happy growing my firiend!! :Sharing One:

been there man. didn't get 3 feet of water but flooded basement cancelled all my growing months ago and im yet to get going again. hope you bounce back better than before.

Thanks for advice bro!!

btw what size tent is that? and i assuming thats T5 light 4ft 6 bulbs, 6" carbon filter combo? what soil and nutes did you use?

Wow really and I thought I was the only unlucky person suffering from a flood. It took me almost a year and new apartment can't wait to get started. Keep your head up bro. Hope you get yours started sooner than you think. Happy toke :)

Hey man.ya It is a 4ft. 8 bulb T-5 High output. I have two of the inline fans at 240cfm 6" padded ducting 6" a carbon filter and a set of four(only needs two) ratchet hangers.the 6 bulb might be better for you not sure. But just check the measurements on the light ya look at.

The nutes I use are several to be honest.I use Humboldts,Agro Flash,Botanicare and thats mostly it.The Humboldt nutes are really really good and pretty cheap too.I really Say go for the Humboldt Nutes ,esp. if your on a tight budget and want solid results.Dont play with water PH much either.

My Tent is a 5X5X7'11 with diamond mylar interior. The soil I use is a mix between Dr. Earths or Miracle Grows organic mix(soilless mix),and add a bag of cheap country soil.few dollars a bag and mix them up and I have enough soil (with ammendments) for several grows.

Hey eyes on fire

I was thinking about a small tent maybe a 2'x 2'x 5'. But in that space all I can really fit is a 2' 4 bulb t5. Im just trying to keep things simple cuz of my budget being $500. In that rent space do you think I can fit 2 auto chemdawgs in 3 gallons smart pots?

Welcome back OG triple OG GreenSpyda!

$500 budget? You want me to try and make something up for you on the budget? You're in the US right?

Gimmie some ideas on what you want to do and I'm sure we can figure something out.. I've budgeted a good many grow rooms, it's pretty fun. $500 is more than enough for a personal start up man, including carbon filter. Are seeds a part of your budget?

Glad you're back!
