GrandDaddy Purple - Week 7

The topped plant is a beast. I thought it was done streching but it put on another couple inches. I trimmed off all the bud ends that are forming below the hieght of the main stem. It has done well to limit larf. Drinking a bit more now.

The self topped plant is doing OK with the limited amount of room in the tent. I'm a sucker for a plant so it will stay and hopefully fill into the spot when the tentmate gets chopped.

Both are doing well. I'm getting some spots forming on some of the older leaves. Something seams to be getting out of balance. I'll stop using the kelp for a bit and see how they react. It's also been pretty hot and humid so that might have something to do with it.

Looking pretty healthy. Those bud sites are already starting to fill in the spiral on those stalks, I bet it stacks up real nice and heavy.
Ya, I think if I can actually keep up with watering correctly, this one could reach double digits in the end. Even the stunted/self topped plant is taking off. One of the branches is already as tall as the topped plant. Strong genetics so far.

And do'n fine. Kicking out flowers and building buds. Plants are showing signs of a bit too much N but other than that, nothing major to report. Nice size buds forming on the bigger plant with the self topped plant being a few weeks behind.

Time to throw down some more seeds. Soaking 2 Runtz now and hope to be planting by the weekend.

GrandDaddy Purple - Week 10

Getting close to the end. Maybe another week or so. Fattening up and kicking out the last few flowers. Looking forward to harvesting, It's going to be a pain to keep up with the dehumidifier these next couple days.

The 2 Runtz popped and are on there way. One of the seedings had tough time shedding her shell and stalled till I helped her out. I have a small experiment going to test second run soil vs. fresh. I'll start lightly feeding the second run soil this week and start on the other at 30 days. I'm also changing nuitients so this will have a bit of a learning curve.

GrandDaddy Purple - Week 11

Finally gave them the chop this past weekend. Both had really grainy trichs and i didnt end up with any scissor hash. The self topped plant produced about 1/4 of the bud but it was super frosty and gave off a piney scent. The topped plant gave up a good amount of some nice dense bud with a bit of a musky smell. I'll post up some weights and a smoke report once they dry a bit.

All in all, this was an easy grow. The plants didn't require any extra trimming or feed. I feel like topping and light training was the way to go.

I started up a new thread for the Runtz.

Took about 5-6 days to get the moisture down enough to throw everything into Grove bags. Ended up with 6.71 ounces from the topped plant and I forgot to weigh the other but I would guess 4+. First samples have a spacey effect. Musky smell with a hint on the floral side. I'm calling it a manflower smell. I'll press some in a couple days and get some return numbers. So far, it's a good Sunday smoker for me. Good to just sit back and relax.

Thank you @Auto Seeds for the opportunity. I'm looking forward to the next run of some of your other takes on the classics.

A tail of 2 buds. The self topped wierdo on the left and the one that i topped on the right.
