Indoor Growing the wrong way with Shumway

Well its that time again where i'm starting to run out of precious green from last year and need to restock the jars so thought i would just go ahead and do a continual grow log here instead of mucking around with posting all over the place.

Canada finally got smart and are letting us grow and smoke for recreation so here we go!

This time around i tossed all my bottles of advanced nutrients and bag of pro-mix in the garbage lol Will be using general organics and a few other goodies from here on out along with foxfarms ocean forest

3x3 Fusion hut tent
400w Dimmable hps
4" Fusion breath filter

Working with some old seeds here so was having a few problems with germination but finally got some ShortStuff HBD to crack along with a Dinafem White Cheese so should be popping above soil any day now

That was kind of quick lol Just went into tent and have 1st HBD above soil

Go figure,All the other seeds died off on me yet again!

No idea what the hell is going on but have lost about 40 seeds altogether now,Been starting em all as i usually do in paper towel then get tossed into solo cups with peat & coir once they have a nice tail on them but then they just stall out and wither away

Tent is between 25 to 28*c so temps are fine and no ferts or anything in the soil mix

At least i have the one HBD for now and just put another 12 lowryder #2's and 2 dark devils in to germ so guess its another waiting game lol

Hoping i get a better germ rate too! No going big on this one lol Have a limit of 4 plants per residence so hoping to have 2 in flower and 2 in veg at all times,Original plan was to get a few of my lr2's going first to make more seeds of them + collect a bunch of pollen for future chucking but obviously not going as planned

Have a seat bud but remember to never apply anything you see here to your own grows cause its probably wrong as i always half ass my grows

Lost all of the seeds again except one dark devil Had 6 or 7 of the lr2's crack and start sprouting tails and sure enough i check in on them today and all tails are gone and just white mush coming out of the shells.

Gonna change this shit up and buy myself one of the little heated jiffy kits,Hopefully that works or else i'm tossing whole setup in the garbage! lol

I never had any luck germinating that way and I’ve been a farmer most of my life. I don’t know why I just can’t get the hang of it. I do get near 100% success planting them in the medium point side down at twice the depth of the seed size though.

Took a peek in the tent and was amazed to see a tiny little dark devil staring back at me lol HBD is kind of going slow but looks like she might end up being the rarer purple pheno,Already seeing color coming out in her so fingers crossed its that and not a early deficiency

SWEET 2 down 2 to go..but what i do is put them in water till they sink 12hrs or so then directly to soil .I figure the tap root is so important I should let it do its thing as simple as possible. Sometimes you have to shake the cup for them to sink..PRO TIP lol
