never use molasses in dwc with chemical nutes things will go south fast

Hey Agito, thanks for stopping by again my man...

Now when you say molasses is that what you mean.... just molasses... or is carbo load included in that statement?? The bottle says it's ok for re-circulating hydro systems... I've also been using it in the last two weeks res's & the girls seem to like it... In fact love it.... Ive also got 2 fresh res bucket's bubbling away at home with it already in.... Hmm so I'm a bit confused here.... Although that is nothing new.

also if you carry on with hydro i recomend you go for a 2part or the 1 part from green dream
a fair few people have issues with ionic nutes

Cool... Yeah I'll def use a 2 part next time... Was gonna use canna on this one... Until I seen the price of it... £14 each for A&B... Phew.... Pricey!!.. I've not heard of green dream but I'm on it now...

Ok guys.. I've changed my res's this morn...

Cannazym
Superthrive
SensiCal/mag.. bloom
Epsom salts
Ionic grow
Ionic bloom
Ionic boost
Carbo load
EC 1.3 pH 5.8-5.9

My fresh res's had been bubbling in the tent since thurs nite, a bit too long I'd say, it all looked a bit cloudy & the buckets were filthy with scum around the line water line from the froth... I had lids on the buckets so there wont have been much light in there. I dunno I'm just worrying about anything nasty growing in there now my girls are in it... Hmm.. I put Epsom salts in this time.... The res's were too strong as well... I had to water them down a bit b4 transplanting. I've seen this stuff before when changing out my buckets, I'm sure it's only the greasiness from the nutes etc.. It just seems thicker today.

I dunno folks what do you's think??

No pics today... I'm not pulling them out again + the leaves in general look awful as you lot have already seen... On a lighter note the bud on show looks awesome :drool: but I'll let them swell for a while b4 anymore pics.... :twist:

I think its from the carbo load breaking down as its sugar
why are you putting cal mag and epson in (they both supply mag)
super thrive should not be used in flower your using to much crap without the experience to back it up and its causing you issues due to the lack of control KISS

Hey folks... thanks for the replies.. Ha ha Agito I know your right dude.. I just cant help myself... Love mixing up a good brew heh heh... Yeah I thought it was the foods making it go like that coz like I said I've seen it in there b4, just not so thick... it was extra frothy in there!! I have upped the carbo load from 2.5ml to 4ml... Not much really considering its in about 15L of water... Is that enough??

Ok no more superthrive either.. ok got it.. Thanks man, Agito do you think I should still be using a nip of my grow nute in there as well as the bloom? Grow nutes NPK.. 3.5, 1.2, 5.4 %w/v... Bloom NPK.. 3.1, 1.9, 5.9 %w/v... Boost NPK.. 0, 8.5, 6.2 %w/v.. & do should I be using a boost when already using carbo load? I'm gonna run two weeks of PK 13/14 at half dose for the two weeks after this... Maybe you think that's a bad idea.. I dunno what d'you think.. & anyone else chime in folks.

ionic boost is pk 13/14 so thats out the window. i would not mix ionic grow and bloom your in late flower and i dont think they will need extra N.

more you mix more chance you will have a chemical reaction and lock out. to much mag will also cause lock out as well

i would only run

Cannazym *(only because youve had root issues)
Ionic bloom

and a 1/2 dose of cal mag if needed 3 days after change. Hydro growers can pull loads on just this you dont really have a clue where your base nute level need to be before adding the extra's

Funny thing is you said canna was to expensive but how much have you spent on all these extra's

Yeah Agito forgot to say.. I put Epsom in this time coz I think im havin more of a mag issue.. I had put quite a lot of calmag in last week to the point that I think I've had/got a touch of cal toxicity going on.. So I thought I'd ease up on the calmag this wk & put in a bit of mag/Epsom in to... Well.. boost mag content whilst easing up on the cal... That's how it's working out in my head anyway....

Probably a load of tosh.. Ha ha time will tell...

theres enough mag in the nutrient for most people and if a small dose of cal mag did not sort the issue the issue is not mag related or could be a mag lock out due to other reactions of the stuff your mixing in or maybe ph
