Hi AFN... It seems I have something wrong with my bigger TD.. She has been getting all 4 of my 84x LEDs since I harvested my first TD there a couple of weeks ago. First thing I noticed was her fan leaves (which weren't a good colour anyways) suddenly went bright yellow like she was flushing?? Although I assumed that the lights were bleaching them or maybe she was using up her reserves coz she couldn't keep up with the excess light being directed at her, I'm not really sure.. She still had nutes in her res.. Anyway everyday when I came home from work her leaves looked more & more like necrosis had set in.. So after a few more days her top cola looked like it was being bleached??.. just a band of it all the way around it where the dying fan leaves had attached to the stem.. I didn't think much of it really at first although it did start bothering more & more as time has passed .. So she has been in flush now for a day or so... When I went in today it just looked worse so I've snipped the main cola off to..
1. Get her out of that light
2. Stop the spread of anything nasty
3. She's been ready for a while

The pale looking part of the bud looks.... I dunno... Dead!! Very fragile & will pull away quite easily from the stem... Which is making me think necrosis has maybe set in... Then thinking should I be ingesting that.. Then what the fuck else can go wrong with this grow... Just when I'm right at the end...

See what I mean?... It's like a ring right around the cola... The whole cola feels quite dry, Although it has for some time now... But that ring feels like it would crumble if pinched...

If anyone reads this & thinks I shouldn't be using this plz let me know..

Either they have bud rot or there way overdue for chopping.

She is 11wks old starting her 12th so I'm thinking bud rot... Should I remove it from the cola incase it affects any more?? How do you get bud rot?

Hi Kush T i just had to remove a cola from my TD which had bud rot it was dry as a bone compared to the others and when i checked out the stem there was the mould, over crowded buds will cause poor ventilation in the middle of the plant which is ideal for the fungus to thrive my advice is to tease the bud apart and look foer signs of the fungus and if its there trace it back till you find clean stems then cut it off before it spreads to the rest of your plant

Thanks grey dog... Yeah I've just done that... I'm sure I've thrown out 3 or 4 grams of bud there... I'm pretty pissed at the mo... But thankful I've nipped it in the bud... Hmm... pun intended I suppose... But I don't feel much like laughing at the minute.

This grow has been a fucking nightmare... Just when you think nothing else can go wrong... I'm so close to the end... I've got a half decent plant here... No you havn't dickhead you've got bud rot!! & an extra £100 on your bi-monthly electricity bill.
Rrrrraaaaaggggghhhhh!!!

Hang in there Kush, you have come a long way and though it doesn't seem like it ATM all of these problems really are making you a better grower. Your next run will be much better and the mistakes you have made have mearly been lessons, which I am certain you will not repeat. I admire you for not throwing in the towel and you'll be thanking yourself for putting yourself through all of this sooner than you think. Chin up Kush and and though it may not seem like it now, you are a lot closer to getting this down than you were a few months ago, correct? Best of luck to you Kush. KG

Cheers Krypto... I know you're right m8, now I realise the importance of humidity control... So I now need a small dehumidifier...

Man it was hard massacring that bud but once I got into it & seen that white powdery mildew shit in there I'm quite glad I now have it removed... I saved the very top of it & 4 real nice nuggets... I suppose I got rid of 2 good nuggz.. Man another painful lesson absorbed :hot: :twist:

I'll post a pic or two of my decimated cola l8r folks..

Kush not only are you learning, you are helping others avoid some of the problems you have run into. I never would have imagined the mold issue you have, but thanks to you being willing to share you have helped a lot of others avoid the dreaded mildew.

Gutted Kush.....I would give that cola a water cure to get all that nasty shit away,u dont want that in your lungs trust.
