hey Kush next time you get bud rot (something I've unfortunately had experience with lol) you could/should use the moldy bud for hash after chopping up and freezing the bud I do a quick wash with isopropyl alcohol to make the hash. certainly better than throwing them out! regardless...enjoy the bud you have my man!

Y'know I only have myself to blame for this.... I've known for quite a while that my humidity was too high, I do have a dehumidifer & I had put it in my tent there last wk... But I took it out again coz it was pushing the temps up as it was running... Bollocks!!

Day 83... Harvest day for my last 'Think Different'..

She has been in flush for 7 days now & in the dark for the last 2, when I went into the tent this morning the aroma in there was off the chart!!.. For this grow anyway... It almost smelled like.. spicy... funky... Dare I say it... Manure!!
But in a nice way.. Skunky manure!! Ha ha.. & I havn't been able to really smell or taste much for well over 5 or 6 weeks now (I dunno some sort sinus thingamajig I can't seem to shake) I mean I've been vapeing TD now for a few weeks now & havn't been able to taste much... Not the TD's fault but my sinus's coz she definately has her own funky taste (what little I can taste obviously) & aroma.

After I really good trim she was 146g but still on her stalks so roughly 140g of solid bud... That was this morning... I thought I'd better take pics so I took her of the line & weighed her again... 138g!! is that weight loss normal in the first few hrs after harvest?? She is hanging in the tent with a bit of heat on.. About 70f Fans blowing & humidity is at about 45%... Ok??
Not sure about the heat... Tell me if I should turn it off don't want anymore bud rot coz that cost me the top of this plant!!



So I'll hopefully get more than an oz dry off this girl... Not bad I suppose for a novice... Once I get back from holiday in a month & a half I'll be up & running again...

Looks great! I'm going to be doing a run of TD's as well but outdoor.

Yes the weight loss is normal; you might know already but 25% of wet is usually your dry weight (rough but very close).

Personally for drying I just let them dry hanging with no lights or heat. I also put them in jars after they seem to be somewhat dry/crispy on the outside. From there monitor with a hygrometer and burp the jar.

edit: Also for bud taste you should wait and cure. The taste and scent of the cannabis really do come out more once properly dried and cured and can change a lot from when originally harvested.

How would you describe the high?

Hey Kush glad to see you cross the finish line. I know you had a few bumps and just finishing a first time DWC grow is an accomplishment. No doubt your next run will be so much better. Thanks for sharing your grow and one day I look forward to doing a DWC grow and I will have a much better chance of pulling it off thanks to you.

Duke, thanks for the info friend. I've got a little of my first TD in a jar curing at the mo... I'm trying Thai Budda Man's drying/curing method, although drying her took ages just hanging in the garage, it's been pissing it down round here (as per) so humidity is high, I just wasn't sure if I should have any heat on.
What little dry TD I've got is in the proper curing range (60-65%) but I haven't much left.
The high off TD is very nice although I'm somewhat used to it now, it starts off very heady although I vape my weed these days & it gives a more heady hit anyway, but after a while I personally thought she gave me a reasonable body stone as well. TD is good MJ... No doubt.. This harvest stuff from today is properly ripe.. Flushed properly.. Will dry properly (before any ingestion at all... whatsoever... Kush... Yes?? :no so I'm expecting her to be superior weed to the one I'm chonging at the mo.. Which is as I say really nice... She has this spicy thing going on in her flavour.

Krypto... Brother I hope your first DWC run goes well m8... I hated making the mistakes but they have to be made to learn from them I suppose... Well mistakes & SB's journals eh?

Sounds good man; if you have problems with your humidity you can always jar the buds with some uncooked rice. The rice will take in the excess humidity in the air and lower your %.

Hay Kush,never done a water cure myself but I believe u soak your buds in water for a week changing the water daily then you dehydrate your buds at the end.
