I pulled my mid top section of bud apart to start drying it and theres a thick web,my first thought was its pretty big spider web,but I didn't see spider evidence so I think it might be mold because it was watery in this area also.
how did the mid top section of buds hold water moisture to create this mold?
I killed a few tiny mite type spiders in early days. and I did not use a fan. the air seemed good in the envirement.
so im guessing I need a fan to stop this?
it looks like I caught the mold early enough to clean it up. what would you suggest. I assume its mold.
I put buds in brown paper sack and laid it on the heater floor vent, to dry.
thanks for any advise on this.

It really sounds like you have spider mites, they will spin webs which is probably what you are seeing. The mites themselves are very tiny and almost impossible to get rid of. I had them on a plant and could only really see them well with a good sized magnifying glass. The only way I could suppress them was by lowering the temperature in the room to about 64 degrees F, which slows their activities way down. Neem oil is supposed to help, but I would never spray that directly on the plant, since it has a very strong mint odor and could affect the buds adversely (never should be sprayed on a flowering plant).

Can you take decent high resolution pics of the affected areas? If so you can zoom in on the pictures and see more details. Good luck, spider mites are a big problem for cannabis plants, horrible little creatures.

You got picture of it? Is the white "strand" looking stuff actually inside the buds when you pull them apart? Or is it surrounding the plant like actual webbing?

thanks for helping.
the issue was on the inside as I was opening and pulling apart the mid top section of the plant. the moisture and web look was in center stem area.mid top..
I like using bug bomb foggers to kill off insects. this is in my cellar stone walls. and I forgot to bug bomb before I started grow. I will try to get a good bug bomb fog before next grow.
I will try to get a picture.

That's bud rot and unfortunately I don't know a cure once the damage is done. You have to just salvage what hasn't been affected.

Don't smoke the rotten buds apse those fungal spores can give you a bad chest !!!

okay thanks.
I should probly try to cut out bad while I can see it now.
I had no idea the inside hairs are completely brown, I may have harvested way late.

The pics are pretty blurry, try moving further away from the bud; your camera/cellphone can't focus when you're that close. And make sure you have plenty of light. As it stands it's hard to determine anything from those pics.
