Harvest & Curing Help with Dry/Cure

yeah I know there are programs out there like that.and the day I eventually Do swap to a method where I can actually just talk and not crack away at a keyboard that'll massively improve my forum and posting dealing no doubt.thanks for the reminder too.I aint thought about that in awhile but yeah i had thought about it some time ago.ill have to see if thats something my pops can help me with some.thanks dude!

I'm still hanging in there with the bag method. RH was 58% last check with no smell to speak of. Still a ways to go in the process. This needs to work cause I dunno where or what to do if it doesn't. Hangin' on to hope at this point.

There Is a small calibration needed so the program recognizes your voice, accent ect. Let me know if I can help . You know what I need a frigging spill cheeker lol.

well since youve switched and went from jar to dry to bag n so on a few times its is possible it could be too late.but next time just refer to the post i used on my 62% thread if you plan to hang dry next dry.it never fails me.get with me next round and ill help as much as i can man.the dry and cure is where its all at.not just a solid grow n rinse either.but I found if you can bust open a few buds.like two smaller nugs once its jarred for a week or even two and left to sit untouched once the burping n such are done leave it be and sometimes over a month of curing with some natural oils to permeate the jar, that can help.but like I said its all relative since sometimes you can go back and forth too many times..how do i know this?I and most of us have been guilty of that for more times than a few of us care to recount lol!awesome grows and crappy dry n jarring sessions LOL!!atleast its far better smell or not than most street bought as far as the effects.shouldnt effect the effects of it at all.

yeah paddler.Ill take you up on that once I figure out what I need to do.and if I cant get it up/.Thanks!!

No no no, not too late, nothing is too late. I only took them from bag to jar and back 1 time. That was immediate, as soon as I set the jar down I put it all back in the bag. The few buds I clipped early may have been in a few different environments, that was only a small amount and only a few days.
Soon as I pulled down the rest of the plant, it went into the paper bag. It has only been out or opened for moments since then. If this doesn't work I'm calling bullshit on every "cure in a bag" thread out there! JK, just means my humidity isn't right for the paper bag method.
I'm going to do some research on what happens to the weed during the dry/cure process, Hopefully if I understand it better, I'll know more about getting it right.
I haven't opened the bag lately and I'm not going too. It's gonna remain shut for the rest of the 2 weeks and maybe beyond that. I just hope it's not too dry in this place to cure correctly.

well Ive never tried the bag method but I hear good things.I just dont personally dig it much.I really hope it does ya solid man! ya it aont too late yet.I thought ya swapped a cpl times.cuz then its prolly too late LOL! but you should be golden, now its the awesome hurry up n wait please n thank you drive through.

Ya, heard that. Waitin', waitin', waitin'. Least I have a little smoke, albeit tasteless, to tide me over. I wonder if harvesting a plant earlynwould affect the smell/taste? I'm not goin' too early but I prefer a heady high. Trichs are always cloudy but none are really amber. I hear some say that during a cure the smell goes away but then comes back and I have heard it said the flavor never really leaves. Make a good poll question.

I cut the whole plant and hang in my walk in closet in the dark tellit just splites when bent then I trim and jar in jar with wood lids for one two days then in to ball jars done. No magic smell and taste are on point the smell comes in hard when trimming the leaves off

This is becoming maddening. For science I filled a prescription bottle with nugs from the paper bag and put my dial hygrometer on top a la the pics of the digital jars some posts back. The measured tweeds came in at 50ish% RH. See pics.

Anyone that uses a paper bag method please do me a favor and take a RH measurement in your dry room and another in a paper bag there, please. Please. Something is not right and I can't figure it out.

I don't want to put this back in the bag. I don't think it'll come back. I think it'll just keep drying out. I'm moving it to a jar. I'll monitor it over the next few hours. I'm going to drop in my sensor on a wired hygrometer as a 2nd opinion.

The only other variable is when I am chopping them. It is maybe a little early but not by weeks or better. What can zap the smell like that? Something I am doing during the grow? Pretty much by the book. Plants get light (on the weak side but varied CFL, LED, and T8's), food (FF grow and bloom nutes + calmag), distilled water, cooler temps.

I dunno. I'm lost with this.
