Sorry Bruv, and it's probably a bit late now, but yeah, I'd be watering daily or more.... daily for me as I am such a stoner.

I'd be checking the first bit of run off and looking at not just the EC, but also the pH, and making any adjustments from there. The run of values might be wildly off what you're putting in.... not a problem if the run off EC is lower, but pH differences might mean making your feed a touch higher or lower pH to compensate for the coco pH.... then try and nudge the pH of your feed back to usual.
This can happen when you make the change from circumferential watering to full, as the new coco youre bringing into play hasn't been 'flushed' through with the right pH.... as you water more at pH 5.8 to 6.1, and keep it regular, the coco will hold that pH level for the rest of the grow.

Think of it as hydro, the more you feed, the more the pH stays where you want it to be, as you're constantly repleninshing the nutrients and levelling out the pH.... some people water 3-4 x day in veg and 4-6 x day in flower but fuck that.

I know different feeds are (er...) different... but I am around EC 0.9 at this stage and never go above EC1.0 - 1.1. and I like to aim for pH 5.8.

I'm no expert though mate.... I wing it every time :shooty:I'm preparing for a Sauna Summer in Oz grow... it's early springtime and its already 30plus°C during the day and it's just gonna get worse over the next 3-4 months :fire:.
I dunno why I bother.
Oh yeah... it's so I can cane it day and night on some amazing Sawney green.... haven't had a dud one yet!
Thank you partner.. the 'more hydro than soil' penny has dropped now.. every time i water i think of the rockwool blocks and cubes i had a go at.. watering coco seems a lot more like that than like watering soil..

12L of soil will take 2L of water before I see any run off.. 12L of coco seems to take about a quarter of that to get run off. You're really just running fresh nutes through the medium every day.. or twice.. or more.. keeping it fresh lol

ill go through your advice another few times and try to keep her going as per. Shes looking healthy enough at the minute but a bit small for her age to my eye.. no surprise given that she is an experiment by a time served muck chucker.

The 'amount of water till run off' does vary, in the same 20L airpot, a mid veg plant might take 3L before I see runoff, while a big flowering beast would take 7L before even a dribble.
I can't compare with soil, cos I'm shit at soil, while you my Sir... maybe it's cos we're on opposite sides of the planet?
Mind you, Sawney and your good self got me thinking about it... I would need to know more about what kind of soil to pick (I'd imagine I have to be watchful of NPK and pH etc) and the full feeding schedule.. surely you can't do a whole grow just by adding plain water?

Soils as easy as it gets m8.. thats why ive stuck there. The plain water all the way seems to be doable but wouldn't be for me after some thought. As for soil.. any light mix and your good to go for me. Plagron Light Mix would be my first choice.. have to get it delivered now tho.. all locals have stopped stocking it.

I really urge you to try a run full organics mate, preferably in a lightmix/coco mix. 60/40 or 70/30 or so, works wonders, Growing fully organic/veganic takes out the guesswork and measuring, just easy peasy, look at your plants, find the max they can handle and straight sailing from there on.

If you want to grow a DP autoflower (I can send you a few beans to your liking if you want) in a single pot grow, like you did with the Blue Auto Mazar, would you be up for it if I sponsor you a pack of Biotabs as well?

Very generous of you to offer m8 but I cant take a chance of a plant failing as we need weed and can only do 1 plant at time and with it being something completely new theres a chance that could happen.

I dont usually have problems with mixing my feeds.. the plagron silic rock was a new thing which threw my ph off with the mazar then i stuck it under the new light, 300w full blast and unknowingly made conditions so bad im surprised she seen the end.. temps into the 30s with RH in the 40s. I know a bit more about the light now.. not to mention VPD! Should never have gone over about 75% with it at most.

If I could run more than 1 plant at a time id jump at the chance but space is my big issue.

I have a DP auto Melonade runtz in a starter cube now destined for 40L of lightmix. Let's see how she goes. If she gives me shit ill think again about the Organics and again thanks for the offer, much appreciated.

If i could get the Mars Hydro app to pick up this light it would make life a lot easier but the jury seems to be out on whether or not the Mars app is actually a real thing or just a massive hoax! Anyone using it? Any problems adding your equipment to it?

The dimmer is marked at 25% 50% and 75% so I can adjust it manually but would be much better to have it on my phone.

As soon as I an be arsed ima get it back in the tent and tootle about with it to see if I can get suitable conditions..
