hello everyone,

I just wanted to say hello and that I am very thankful for all the great readings. After viewing hundreds threads here I decided to leave my old forum and join the great afn enthusiasts. You guys and gals really rock and seem to share the same love I do for these plants.

Glad to have you here.. I love this place and the people... lots of people willing to help without attitude... welcome home my friend welcome home....

Be the change you seek....

Good job and a wise choice in my mind;)

But then, I'm biased.

Welcome!!!

Maybe I'll just slap you around a bit....:slap:

I just left a 77 page bicker about lights. Punching mothers and kicking dogs. Then I read one single thread here and say to myself why didn't I come to this place sooner. Might sound weird but I'm thrilled to death that I'm here now. Also very proud to be with so many knowledgable people.

A good friend referred me here in hope of getting my first indoor grow back on track. When you add in photo grower advice to a sensitive auto the results are disheartening. I think I may have a photo grower personality that hopefully won't take long to persuade. Buy this add this wait 6 hours and then go back to the grow shop to get more. Who knew a weed could be so difficult to properly grow.

Once you establish a workable routine with autos, it's really autopilot (no pun intended)

The things I keep at the forefront of my mind (as differences to photos)

You're on the clock...period. Finite amount of time that is basically preset by the genetics.
No going longer in veg to tailor your structure (crop, lollipop, correct injuries, etc.)

They don't care what hours you throw at them (generally speaking) so you can grow them
in a tent of photos, no matter what lighting cycle is going.
In my case, 24/0 was needed to maintain acceptable temp and RH ranges...useful over the winter.

The days of weak autos are over....Mephisto Alien V Triangle has documented-ly tested out at 25.45% THC

Smaller equals more variety...and that's the spice of life ;)

I'm sure you'll fall into the groove, it's just a couple key mindsets that have to shift :toke:

Technical edit:

Having said all that, I am a "defoliator"...just small amounts at a time and in key areas
and I have topped a plant that then did very well. Late, in mid-flower.

I think things would be easier if there wasn't so much selection. Hundreds of lights, strains, nutrient options. I want to try it all.

Far from a quitter and very willing to learn. I have made a decent life by following these few things. I still somehow manage to spend plenty of time with my girls even with a 70 hour work week and 2 little baby girls to tend to. I'm motivated to get better and also give back to afn as a thank you for all in sure I will learn from you all. A little hobby grow of 3 turned into a 7x7 room filled with the best smell around. Much better than fresh apple pie or wd40

Hey my friend, what took you ? We have been waiting for ya !

You all come to the AFN side............well the good ones do......eP.

Hey great to meet you! Good luck on all of your future grows. I knew I was home as soon as I read a few threads on this site. There was some interesting stuff on some other forums I checked out regarding growing, but this was the place that guys were kind and most importantly willing to help others.

Welcome to the Autoflower Network ! I've been here just over a year and have had zero encounters with "puckin A hewwz" so far. I'd have to agree with ya on the scent thing. It's true - Auto's can smell better than even WD-40 !
Good luck on your next run. If you can't get sorted out here, well - just wait a little longer
Keep it clean and keep it green and everything will work out in between ! :weed::peace::weed:
It's nice and peaceful around here - almost too peaceful....

What a nice welcome. Little overwhelming with all the info but it just means I'll be busy for awhile.

Starting a new grow soon so possibly get a journal going
