I am new to cannabis and bought an infuzium to make tinctures with my recent first harvest. My first batch was with 1+cup everclear and 28g decarbed sour stomper. The resulting tincture is VERY GREEN but pretty weak (effect, not smell!), and a lot of the material just ended up splattered up on the sides on the machine. I’m figuring I lost potency due to all the material that ended up on the sides. Are there tricks to this that experienced users can offer?

Use concentrates instead of flowers if you are after potency. Everclear extractions can be done at low temperatures in the freezer to minimize the amount of water soluble 'green' elements that come out in the extraction.

If you want to increase the potency of your current tincture you can run your current tincture through more flowers or concentrate

I use the freezer method at a ratio of 8oz. Everclear to 13-15 grams dried, cured Indica flower and after trichomes are stripped, reduce to 4oz. I mix 2-3 ml with .5 gram decarbed bud in a cup of yogurt (I can't do sublingual) and get a slight hallucinogenic/paralytic euphoric sense of well being, drifting off into a deep, restful sleep which is wonderful due to my insomnia. Never green. Good luck.

what makes tinctures green ? 1. material was too fresh/not cured long enough. 2.The soak or run was in alc for to long.
+1 on only using concentrates for strenght with little to no chrolofil/green tastes.
