Grow Mediums James' first grow - DP Autoglueberry with autopots

Update day 52

The tops are really starting to form really nicely now.

I stripped a load of fan leaves and small bud sites from the bottoms of both plants, don't want the plants wasting energy on lower branches and fan leaves.

I had noticed a few of the lower leaves were starting to go yellow so I just pulled them off is that normal?

Great growing mate, yep the lower fans will yellow off and die. If they're still exposed to light and not covering bud sites I'd leave them on until they wither cos can only be doing some good.

Nice one Jay,

I had already stripped quite a bit of vegetation from the bottom of both plants. I just figured I didn't want the plant wasting energy on the lower vegetation that wont actually yield anything.

I have tied up the branches that were flopping to the side of the tent and tied down the main cola of the larger rear plant so it is out of the main light. The top was beginning to singe, it is now out of the danger zone.

Checked the PH of the reservoir and it was stable at 5.9 after around two days of the mix being in there.

Update - Day 56

Current feed:

1.75m/l sensi bloom A&B, 1ml/10l drip clean, 0.75m/l silicate, 2m/l terpinator 2.5m/l cal mag, 1m/l bud candy, 1m/l big bud, feed PH'd to 5.8 before putting in the reservoir.

My water sits for at least 24 hours before mixing it up. I use 25 litre feeds to keep control of PH, it normally drifts up to 6.0 after two days in the reservoir. I only fill the reservoir right up when I am away for a few days.

Sorry guys, the last update was day 56 not day 63?!

I have been baked all weekend.. but that was out there number wise

Hey guys I have some leaves dying, my instinct just tells me that this is the plant flowering and drawing the energy from the fans. Can someone drop in and advise me of it is what I think it is or not, as I could have the start of something nasty here. It looks like I may have overdone the nutes, not sure.

Thanks for dropping by

The PH meter I was using was out.

Bit of a tricky one this as you're not supposed to top water this close to harvest.

Have u any beny bacteria in form of granules? mammoth p is a popular version currently, Id be top dressing with that and just a bit of water to get it damp so the microbe life can thrive, should raise ph and correct things in the substrate.
