That's rad. When I was a kid my friends and I came across a place where there were old things hanging in the trees, and we found stuff similar to crosses, but with circles, and they were tied together with bark strips, so I always attributed it to an Indian burial ground. We backed out and watched our steps out of respect. Hopefully it's all still there! I have never been privileged enough to see turtles hatch, that must have been amazing, they ARE rather adorable. Though I think crocodiles and caimans still hold my number one spot. They almost always have baby turtles at the Oregon Zoo, which get put into the wild when they are big enough not to get eaten by the birds, 4" across I believe the gal said. I caught a snapping turtle once in Tennessee bass fishing with a 7" curly tail, it must have weighed 50lbs I shit you not. It hit the worm so hard, like a steelhead SMASHING a Hot Shot, frightened me a bit. Anyhow, however many minutes later of pumping I had it on shore. The guy I was with said we had to kill it, landowners rule (his dad's best buddy and they are both preachers and like 90) anyway, dispatched it with a brick from an old structure where you would connect a dock to the land, not sure what that would be called. It was in remnants, so I grabbed a brick and popped that turtle one. Felt horrible we didn't eat it cause they are supposed to be delicious, and my buddy kept saying no worries dude, something will eat it. We went back the next day to fish some more and the vultures had picked that sucker clean. So I let my guilt vanish cause those vultures appeared to have a full belly and were quite content. I ate fried alligator on that trip (month long business trip) that the hotel bartender gal gave me, it was absolutely amazing way better than any other white meat I can think of. Rad trip, Southern Hospitality is so legit, and it rubs off on you!
I have more seeds to sprout as well, going to do solo cups to get them going this time, like you said, smaller substrate is bigger seedlings, then will transplant. Though I think I will pop one seed in the pot from the Hijacks since their pre-existing root structure is supposed to let the subsequent plant grow faster than round 1 since it has created soil porosity and structure. I have more pots freeing up soon, Northern Lights is close as is the Sweet Skunk. :smoking:
