Just brought a mars hydro 300w (180w) actual draw

I just finished a Mephisto Sour Crack that put out 1,030 grams wet(just shy of 7oz dry) used the MarsHydro 300w "real" old model( not the weaker "new" old model).

I will add that as a person just getting into growing the MarsHydro 300w old model is a good little light for the money. I think I paid around $70 each for the two units I have. Granted they are NOT great lights. The spectrum is rather heavy on the "red" side to be used as the only light for a whole grow. Over on a different forum the MArsHydro rep there named "Sara" (funny American female names for a couple Chinese guys and people really think they are female...suckers) really said last year "do not buy the MarHydro 300w old model. The quality is not good and is used as the eBay price wars unit". After less than a year one of my units already has lost a couple of diodes so I would agree. For those that don't know how it works a LED diode will burn up very quickly if it is driven(powered) at 100%. Once you drive them at a lower power their life quickly is lengthened. On the "real" old model(180w real power units) they are only being driven at around 60% at that power the LED diodes should last a lifetime of growing so after only a year and dead diodes tells me how crappy they really are.

Good light yes....just don't expect them to last long.

I just grew 3 plants with two lights and got 4.40 ounces dried and cured

I ran 3 plants using an old version mars (1003w 180 real draw), and a 165W real draw galaxyhydro (100X3w). I grew out portal giftshop automix strains and I pulled 7oz amongst the 3 plants. Great light for cost.
