When to harvest is always tricky. If your scope is at least 30x you should be able to see the color of the trichomes.

Some autos never show amber, however. Or you can wait until all the fan leaves fall off as Muddy suggests.

I'm guessing 10-12 weeks. Also depends on the effect your going after. With sativas I would harvest with no more than 20% amber showing. Otherwise, youre kind of defeating the purpose of a sativa.

Yeah i have no idea if i should go 10-12 weeks. The fan leaves are yellowing up and falling off. I think it might finish early considering that i'm using 5 litre air pots but i don't wanna waste any potential bud swell at the late stage too. I have a 45x scope and i am super amateur at using the scope and when i look at the trichomes, i can't really tell the difference. I think i could have tell the difference if it were amber but i can't really tell the difference between clear or cloudy.

Hey guys, 4/20 is really awesome. But the sad thing is that i dropped my phone and the screen cracked so i have to pay like $300 to fix it. If i couldn't do another picture report, please do not blame me

Anyway, if i am going to check the trich. Where do i look ? The leaves or the bud ?

You want to examine the white frost covering the buds and "sugar leaves".

Were you able to get a test bud dried out for today?

Yep i definitely did. I was pretty baked and it lasted quite some time.

I am going to let them go on for maybe longer than 10 weeks because i'm hoping for them to pack some weight at the late stage.

Ps : can you guys tell me how to see the difference between clear and cloudy? I have seen the pictures of the clear and cloudy trichs but i can't really tell the difference.

they look like little mushrooms K'crox.

you want to look at the "cap" of the mushroom.

some will be clear and you will be able to see straight through them. others will be milky white.

it takes some getting used to but in time you will easily be able to tell the difference.

adding: maybe you are looking at plants right now that are already mostly cloudy and there aren't many clear ones to find.

next round start looking around week 6 and you will know you're looking at clear trichs. then you can watch as they turn cloudy

Week 9 - Day 63 Report

Hey guys, it's week 9 and i just fixed my phone so yeah, pictures are back hooray !!

I started flushing both of them and when it's week 10 i will harvest.

So sorry there wasn't a picture report last week but the good thing is, you can spot the difference from week 7 to week 9.

As you can see, the fan leaves are yellowing up. My AK is not having huge colas like Jack's main cola and also because Jack was 12 inch away from my LED during bloom phase but AK was like 20 inch away from my LED so i think maybe AK is not getting enough light. On my next grow i think i will just lst the side branches but not take away the vertical height.

What does she smell like? I have one that's very spicey and the other has a bubblegum/citrus smell.
