I'm thinking you'll be able to chop the AK for some smoke to get ya by, while u wait on Jack to get ready.
Will check that grow out for sure! Yeah i think i will be harvesting the AK first and the Jack might go on longer but i guess it's worth the wait if it's a really heavy sativa type.
Week 1 Report
Hey guys, i'm back with a detailed report of my babies. They are both at day 7 and i have swapped the CFL over to the LED. The LED light distance is at 24-26 inches.
In 3 days time i will be travelling for 5 days so i will see how the led will do for them and adjust as i see fit within this 3 days period.
Both of them have just been watered, took 7 days for the soil to get really dry and it was really light too. AK with 6.6 ph water and Jack with 6.7 ph water. They look healthy for their age, hopefully the LED helps out more because they have been stretching so much that i have to use toothpicks to hold them up:jaw:

Have u got a fan blowing on them to strengthen the stalks? That's what I've been doing and it seems to help.

Haha dude you're funny. Anyway my cfl light was kept like 5-6 inches away from them for a week that is why they stretched so much but i think after swapping over to LED, the nodes will be tighter. Can't wait for them to be week 2 and hopefully no stunted growth !
I'm fine with them stretching as long as they don't have stunted growth like my past 3 grow. They are really doing fine for their age. Like what you said, i let them stretch so there is more air flow at the bottom instead of the leaves touching the soil. Yep i ran 24/0 for a week and when i swapped over to my LED i changed the timing to 20/4. They are really loving the LED and the grow rate is really good.
Was thinking of giving them a mild feeding(1/8) at week 2 or should i just wait till week 3 before feeding 1/4 veg nutes. I am also planning on LSTing them but should i do it around week 2 or week 3? Lst going one round (circle) or train every branch down like a X shape?

ultimately depends on how many nutes were in the soil to start with. It will be something you will have to dial in with your new soil. When the cotyledons start to yellow will be a sign they are getting hungry. Imo, there is no right or wrong answer to either of your questions. You can pretty much LST whenever or however you want also, just go slow.
Hoping your 2nd week is as good as the 1st :thumbs:
Do you have a plant sitter? I don't see much choice but to water well before you leave
