I'm an I502 licensee in Washington State but we're at the end of the vegetative season right now and I won't likely have a license until August 15 or so. I'd like to squeeze out a small outdoor harvest this season and am looking for input regarding autoflower plants. If I were able to plant a 3/4 acre outdoor plot with irrigation, nutrient injection etc., will the August to October sun be enough to get a harvest off? I am thinking that in a worst case scenario I could just process all of the plants to oil. At any rate, any input is appreciated. I am on the dry, sunny side of the Cascade mountains and we don't have to deal with mold etc. here like in Seattle.

Wouldn't it make more sense to perhaps do a small indoor grow this year (if possible) - and a small outdoor grow (not the full plot) (maybe drop in a polytunnel or 2 to extend season) - just to see how it works out ? Even tho breeders say start to finish in 10-12 weeks for a lot of autos it is often longer (but then I stay somewhere colder n wetter - and im sure the breeders always quote best times under optimal lighting anyway).

I dont know what the licence 1502 is (i guess a licence to grow your own - and for supply on such a large plot) - I'm in the UK and we dont get licences we get arrested. But given a licence to grow here I'd spend the 1st three to four months preparing and setting up raised beds and (irrigation if required) all the things to make my 1st 'legal' grow a good one - and a low maintenance one - 3/4 acre is a decent sized plot, and I know how much time I spend at our allotment tending fruit n veg - compost - path clearing - weeding etc. I would take this autumn as a chance to plan grow beds/paths/irrigation channels that are easily maintained - improve soil - build raised beds and do a lot of digging and composting - so that when spring comes it's all GO.

EDIT : OK so 1502 is a commercial licence ? - on a commercial plot consider polytunnels/greenhouses as ways of extending your seasons - so some plants can start early >> go to field, or start late >> stay in polytunnel.

Having had commercial greenhouse experience I could imagine a setup (even here closer to the arctic circle) that could give me 1 crop of Auto's and a maincrop of Photos.

Can I get one of these licences and buy a piece of land I wonder....

Probably the fastest high quality autoflower is Sour Crack from Mephisto. Contact Mitch directly to get bulk seeds at a significant discount. Check out some of the grows in the breeder section under mephisto genetics. It finishes for some growers indoors under 60 days, outdoors it would probably be more but you wont find a faster auto with this quality. 3/4 acre would take a lot of seeds! Tell Mitch I sent you...

Also Mephisto ships very fast, I have gotten seeds from them in about a week, from Spain.
