How long does it take for the seed to ripen and be able to grow out ?
I am not exactly sure about the question
these particular seeds? or just seeds in general?
but as a rule of thumb I don't treat seed batches the same as meds generally
if an entire plant is pollinated I would especially recommend pushing as long as you can till seeds are basically falling off
I also give heavier doses of nutrients when seed crop plant growing all the way till the end
The main thing I would stress is the variety and conditions will vary even familiar genetics and end times
soooo.. that being said I would always recommend pushing as long as conditions permit of it is clear that seeds are dark and close to falling they will open up on most and you can see the seed will be fairly dark
some will be much faster than others and again conditions will alter the end date
but those few things I would point to patients for seeds even more than waiting for mature amber trics
if your not sure than wait till later if you can because when in question extra time on the plant is always giving the little ones extra stored energy for the next generation to help them survive
but the main thing is just be patient
even more so than if your were smoking it
it would generally only make seed plants for this reason unless you have a specific direction you are going
seeds plants won't be as tempting to early harvest as a half smokeable decient medium/light seeded meds plant will be and it will be better for your forward generations if seeds are given optimal time to mature and store energy for their journey
so as long as it takes is the best answer I can give a person to get their best potential
I have some varieties you would be picking up seeds from the ground before others I have are even much past preflower so the range is very broad
I think those seeds were on that specific plant for 6-8 weeks but I would have to check dates closer

cause it was just done in sorta later flower than I would usually do but I figured I would throw another cross in there while I had them running anyway and see what they bring ,
they were nice and ripe so no worries
depends on where you want the seeds at that point really and how many
