Carpet was “dampener” more ways than one….since jeeps aren’t really water tight, it was holding moisture against the tub, and I was afraid of rusting so I got rid of it.

Went with rubber mats in my truck instead of carpet Easier to clean up

That was the other reason….sheet metal doesn’t hang onto the dog hair as much as carpet
