And how should we handle that if we have more than one contest per month?

I think if the prize is different and everything else being equal, everyone should have a chance, if its for the same prize, no. Its gonna be hard to please everybody, just stick with what you think is right, regardless of what you decide there will be somebody opposed to it.

Would we get to choose between available strains if we win? I would not likely grow anything that I was not specifically interested in.

I dont think so, pretty sure they will be put together randomly, unless there is some theme of the event i suppose.
