Tried taking some readings with photone this morning and it looks like there's been some major updates to the app. Now I guess you HAVE to have some sort of light diffuser to go over your camera or it gives you wild readings. 18 inches from the top of my seedlings at 20% power is giving me readings in the 800s around the edges and over 1000 dead center, and thats with full spectrum LED selected.

Try the app called PPFD meter. Works better than photone IMO..

I used to use ppfd meter, I switched to photone because it worked better on my old phone, might switch back now. I guess you can use a piece of plain printer paper as a diffuser but I don't own a printer

Good morning/afternoon @Mossy ! Hope the tapas were awesome! I got to get into the garden yesterday and have a very meditative/cathartic experience while defoliating and cleaning up the lowers. Before i realized it i looked at the clock and 4hrs flew by! Got em all schwazzed and cleaned up! Treated with PotPoppers nematodes! And got em rearranged from tallest to shortest, with the lights adjusted accordingly. I usually dont strip the plants so bare, but because its so crowded im not taking any chances. So far so good! I think since I started this growing cannabis, I really don't mind spending money when it improves my grow and makes it easy on me. Whatever item I buy, it just has to plain work.....period.
Like the Cannatrol. $1600 is a hard pill to swallow, but it works PERFECTLY and is pretty much worry free on a VERY critical process of growing.
