More scary....my mother had a double hip transplant that went wrong.
She got the nerve damage I've got..but had to take the heavy duty painkillers I was on.
She got trapped between two Specialist..the hip docs said it was her spine..the spine docs said it was her hips..so a battery of hospital checks..
One of her Specialists booked her an MRI...she did her pre-op checks a week before..no problem..

She was on the table to go into the MRI..nurse comes with a final check list..she said there is nothing else metal you want to tell me about..?..

My mother laughed and said no.. except for me two artificial hips..she said the nurse went white and left the room..the ambulance came to take her home..she didn't get why....

But..if they'd switched that MRI on..it would have ripped the metal hips out of her body and probably have killed her.....
